"A real actor has to have an awful lot of imagination, and I do have a great deal."
Sir Christopher Lee believed that acting was a mixture of instinct, imagination and inventiveness. Something that resonates with our team immensely.
Lee’s acting prowess will be difficult to match or surpass, his individuality and tenacious attitude towards all of his roles will be remembered for generations to come. His ability to make the unbelievable believable are not only inspirational but were in many ways ground breaking.
Not only an accomplished actor, Lee was a decorated Second World War Veteran. Further solidifying what an important character and hero he is to so many people. This is a stark reminder of what can be achieved in life with his acting career spanning over more than half a century, making roles such as Dracula a chilling on screen reality, this twinned with other character portrayals were truly genre defining. Younger fans will continue to be introduced to his immeasurable talent in the form of the wizard Saruman the White in what could be argued the greatest trilogy of all time The Lord of the Rings, a stunning performance.
Lee always maintained that his biggest regret was not to become an opera singer. In many ways we are grateful that his shift in focus allowed him to be immortalised in so many films we love.
Thank you Sir Christopher you will continue to be a constant inspiration to us all at Go2Games.com
We will leave you with something that may perhaps have skipped your radar. Sir Christopher at his heavy metal best in ‘Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing” recorded in 2014.
