Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to the Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Rockstar Games confirmed that the game will be playable on the Xbox One from Friday 8th July.

If you already own Red Dead Redemption, whether it is a disc copy or you downloaded it to your Xbox 360, then you will be able to download the game on to your Xbox One for free.

When Microsoft announced backwards compatibility, they gave players the choice to vote for what games they would like to see come back the most. Red Dead Redemption finished third on the list with almost 150,000 votes. Now, the game is finally coming to Xbox One.
