To celebrate the festive season, a new themed event has been added to Halo Infinite. This event will be based around the holiday season  and brings some new content to Halo Infinite. During Winter Contingency, players will be able to advance through a free battle pass and gain armour, weapon skins, and other cosmetics, similar to the Fracture: Tenrai event.

Winter Contingency Holiday Event in Halo Infinite

The event was announced yesterday in a Twitter post on the official Halo page.

The event, dubbed “Winter Contingency,” will run a little longer than Halo Infinite’s previous event, Fracture: Tenrai, which lasted only a week. The Winter Contingency will begin on December 21 and end on January 4, 2022.  The second week of the Fracture: Tenrai event is set to begin on January 4, 2022.

Players will be able to gain cosmetics by just playing a game each day. Moving through the game’s pass and collecting stuff that way should be easier because to Halo Infinite’s new challenge modifications, as discussed in a recent Halo Waypoint post.

A recent update for Halo Infinite insured that players will see more event challenges in their queue, in addition to removing or adjusting the complexity of a number of the game’s challenges. However, there will be a limited number of tasks for players to complete, so it’s possible that you might not be able to complete the entire pass.

With barely a day to mourn the passing of the Halloween season – it’s Christmas time in the retail world.

It’s November, so of course, retailers are already capitalising on that sweet Christmas cash cheer. Holiday-themed items are already lining shop-fronts, and the Pokémon Center is no exception.

The Pokemon Center has just launched its line of holiday goods, including plushies, apparel, and decorations.

Two of these additions are a plush of Piplup riding a Mantyke and Pikachu emerging from a gift box. As well as these two, there is a Glaceon with a scarf and four new miniature keychain plushies. These include dapper little costumes for Spheal, Buizel, Galarian Corsola, and Chinchou.

As well as plushies, this year Delibird has brought us new figures too!

The Snorlax one is my personal favourite.

Aside from those, there are tons of winter apparel options including endearingly tacky Christmas jumpers, hats, gloves, and scarves. The pyjama sets are pretty adorable too!

Amazingly, the Snorlax jumper has already sold out in multiple sizes.
