Telltale advise us to stay tuned in the next few weeks…

The Wolf Among Us was a remarkable game and one of the best the studio Telltale Games had produced. Many fans, including myself, were devastated when the news broke that its sequel was being axed following Telltale’s comprehensive letting off of all of its staff in 2019. Well, as you may have known already, Telltale was restored a year later via an acquisition by LCG Entertainment. Good news for The Wolf Among Us fans… this meant the Big Bad Wolf Bigby was also being revived.

Since then, however, we have heard little to nothing regarding development, until now. A few days ago, at The Game Awards 2021 in L.A., Telltale Games unveiled their take on The Expanse as a narrative-driven video game adaptation. The developer recognized that fans of theirs were perhaps expecting an update on The Wolf Among Us 2, which was announced all the way back in 2019, and so put out the following statement just below.

TO ALL OUR AWESOME #TWAU2 FANS OUT THERE:

We want to assure you that we will have something for you soon. Unfortunately, the timing just didn’t work out for #TheGameAwards.

In the blog post attached to the tweet, Telltale further delves into the ongoing development of The Wolf Among Us 2. The developer acknowledged that the sequel was initially announced as going into pre-production over two years ago, and while they didn’t have anything to show for it at The Game Awards yesterday, The Wolf Among Us 2 will feature in the next issue of Game Informer, which hits shelves in just a few weeks.

This is excellent news for all Telltale fans alike.

In other news, October and November have seen some big next-gen titles released, including Call of Duty: Vanguard, Battlefield 2042, FIFA 22, Far Cry 6, and Left 4 Dead’s spiritual successor, Back 4 Blood. You can purchase all of these titles, as well as pre-ordering the Halo Infinite Campaign, Elden Ring and any other games from our Go2Games website.
