As you all know, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are set to be released next month. This means there will be lots of interesting last-minute announcements to attract any late pre-orders. Many fans have wondered during the long wait if the remakes would contain anything from Pokémon Platinum, and it turns out that at least one item from the fan-favourite classic would be included for players who purchase the game early.

The most recent trailer for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl shows off a lot. In it we see two of the gym leaders, Candice and Volkner, as well as the villainous Team Galactic. We are also shown the Lake Trio too, the three psychic type Pokémon that reside within Sinnohs ancient lakes. The pre-order bonuses are also revealed at the end.

Following the release of the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Game Freak created a third edition to address any faults and flesh out the Sinnoh region experience with additional features.

This third game was Pokémon Platinum, which featured Giratina as its flagship Legendary Pokémon. Giratina resided within the Reverse World, an alternate shadowy dimension which added a new location to the game. Hopefully Giratina and the Reverse World will also make a reappearance.

Because Platinum is so warmly remembered, it’s reasonable that fans want Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to include its enhancements, but one thing in particular is going to return.

Pokémon Platinum Outfit Pre-Order Bonus!

If you buy the game before February 21^st 2022, then you will be able to download the player’s outfit from Pokémon Platinum via Mystery Gift. This is the iconic outfit from Pokémon Platinum that is perfect for venturing the snowy climates of Sinnoh.

Manaphy Egg

As well as the clothes, players can earn a Manaphy egg as part of the same Mystery Gift event. Manaphy is a mythological Pokémon whose egg has previously only been given out as part of a tie-in with the Pokémon Ranger games. This may be a promo that enthusiasts who want to complete the Pokedex will not want to miss.

But even though the Platinum costumes being offered as an early purchase incentive is great, it appears to be one of the game’s few aspects that has been retained. Many have wondered if Froslass would be in the Pokedex owing to the absence of everything else from the special title.

Even still, it is exciting to have something that calls back to Pokémon Platinum regardless, and it makes sense for Platinum’s features to be absent from the game as they are Diamond and Pearl remakes after all. It’s important to remember that these bonuses are only available until February 21^st 2022, so pre-order or purchase your copy before then to avoid missing out!

The Order: 1886

A brand new story trailer has been released for the PS4 Exclusive

Ready at Dawn’s upcoming game, which is due to ship in February, has been highlighted with a brand-spanking new story trailer which Sony has released today. This release is following Monday’s announcement that The Order: 1886 had gone gold.

This story trailer introduces the viewers to developer Ready at Dawn’s Victorian Era London. This is also showing off the characters, weapons, environments and much more that the players will encounter along the way. 

The game was originally set to release in 2014 but, like so many other games, inevitably saw itself slipping into 2015. It’s totally worth the wait though! The now set release date is 20th February 2015.
