What could be more festive and cozy than playing Creative Assembly’s iconic survival horror game this winter?

Feral Interactive, who also handled the game’s Switch Port, will bring Alien: Isolation to iOS and Android this December.

Feral Interactive claims to have replicated the “stunning AAA visuals, arresting narrative and terrifying atmosphere of Creative Assembly’s award-winning sci-fi masterpiece” for mobile devices “without compromise.” They have also added customisable touchscreen controls, or you can connect an external controller via Bluetooth (if your device supports it). The game includes all 7 DLC packs at the price of just £12.99, and is available for pre-order already.

Alien: Isolation is set 15 years after the events of Ridley Scott’s classic sci-fi horror film ‘Alien’. Players take on the role of engineer Amanda Ripley, who attempts to uncover the truth of her mother Ellen Ripley’s disappearance.

The game quickly became a classic, as Creative Assembly did a fantastic job of recreating the film’s unnerving atmosphere. We can only hope that the mobile version will be as well executed as the Switch port, and make this classic accessible to those who don’t have access to a PC or gaming console.

SEGA has registered the domain of classic game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3

SEGA of America have now registered the domains of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3. This has roused much interest and debate as to whether the real-time strategy series may be getting a sequel.

The registration, on SEGA’s part, may just be a strategic manoeuvre to secure domains for one of it’s properties, and not an actual nudge at the chance that there may be a sequel in the works. Relic Entertainment, the developer of the Dawn of War series, have not voiced much at all on anything they’re working on since it released Company of Heroes 2, so they may well be an addition to the Dawn of War series.

Released for PC in 2009, Dawn of War 2 received praise for it’s character-focused action game-play, and for gliding away from base-building. Players were presented with a selection of characters to choose from, and each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Another studio owned by SEGA, The Creative Assembly, are currently working on Total War: Warhammer, which is a turned-based strategy game allowing “hundreds of hours” of game-play. Sega has already announced at least two more expansions for this game already.

The works of a Total War game, based in the fantasy Warhammer universe, has been revealed by The Creative Assembly

A copy of the ‘Art of Total War’ book has accidentally revealed a brand new Total War game. The artbook, which is set for release on January 23, was shipped early to a fan who posted this information onto the Total War forums (via Kotaku.)

Published in the book is an interview with The Creative Assembly’s creative director Mike Simpson, which reveals that the developer is currently working on a game entitled ‘Total War: Warhammer’.

Nothing much has been heard about the game apart from the attachment of the ‘Total War’ title but, on knowing this, the game should include similar elements of military tactics and grand strategy.

The developer signed a deal with Warhammer creator Games Workshop in December 2012, so this comes as no surprise that The Creative Assembly are currently working on a Warhammer game. This game will be the first Warhammer edition that The Creative Assembly have worked on.
