GAME’s very own app now comes equipped with a scanner
The ability to now scan the front covers of games!

Good morning! For those of you who want the world of gaming at your fingertips, then this could be the app for you..

For those of you who use GAME’s smartphone app, you may or may not be aware that it has now come equipped with a scanner which will enable you to scan the front covers of games to access various information and discounts. Pretty neat, eh?

This grand new functionality is called ‘Scan It!’ and uses your smartphone’s camera to scan the front cover of a game, instead of it’s barcode. Not only this, it’ll then offer you a ‘personalised price’ depending on your current trade-in credit and Reward account balance. You will also be given a wad of other information regarding the scanned title, including images and trailers. Plus, it works with digital games sold on cards!

2,000 products will be available at the launch with EVEN MORE being added over the coming months. A seriously efficient app upgrade for the avid gamer right here. What will they think of next?!

Former Rockstar developers open brand new production studio!!

Very exciting news! Craig Conner and Will Morton (two former members of the audio team behind Rockstar’s tremendously popular Grand Theft Auto franchise) have branched out and launched their own audio production company, Solid Audioworks. Combining their backgrounds at Rockstar as music director and senior audio designer, they plan to conjoin these skills to influence both the video games and film industries.
