Microsoft has laid out the upcoming Xbox Live Games with Gold titles…

On Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download Darksiders 3 (normally £44.99) for free throughout August.

The Xbox 360 game Lost planet 3 (normally £14.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members from August 1st-15th.

From August 16th until the end of the month, the Xbox 360 title Garou: Mark of the Wolves (currently £6.79) is free to download. Similarly, Yooka-Laylee (retailing at £34.99) will also be available to download from August 16th until September 15th.

Members can also download Planet Alpha and Midway Arcade Origins for free until the end of this month.

In other news, as of April, players will no longer require an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play free games on Xbox consoles or to access party chat features.

Previously, Xbox Live Gold was required to play all Xbox games online, including over 50 free-to-play titles such as Warzone, Fortnite etc., available at no extra cost on rival platforms.

Additionally, Microsoft went back on their plans to increase the price of a six-month Xbox Live Gold subscription to $60, increasing 50%. This decision took place in January.

It is seemingly an exciting period for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, with some absolute gems coming to Xbox consoles for free in the next few weeks.
