Call of Duty 2 is the latest game to join backwards compatibility and is now playable on the Xbox One.

The second instalment in the Call of Duty franchise was released back in 2005 and 11 years later it is brought to the Xbox One.

The news was announced by Major Nelson on his Twitter account yesterday, although there were a lot of happy fans, there was also a lot of fans that were disappointed that the game that was coming back wasn’t Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops 2.

Now everyone enjoy this nostalgic throw back.

Just like Call of Duty: Black Ops did, the sales of Red Dead Redemption have completely skyrocketed. This is because Microsoft and Rockstar have made an announcement that tomorrow, the game can be play on Xbox One due to Xbox One backwards Capability. This game was known as the cow boy version of Grand Theft Auto and was absolutely loved by the fans. It was the first open world game were players could really ride around in style of a cow boy and really have the full experience of the Wild West.

Amazon’s Movers & and Shakers list, which is known to tack sales ranking and notes any increases on game sales and movements, released that there is a 6329% rise for Red Dead Redemption. This makes the ranking of the game 17th most popular video game on the site. Massive change with games sales as it was previously at No. 1093.

It is obvious this game was very much loved by the fans and I think that Microsoft got the message when 148,000 votes for the game to come back. The game will be officially released for backwards capability on 08/07/2016.

If you already own Red Dead Redemption, whether it is a disc copy or you downloaded it to your Xbox 360, then you will be able to download the game on to your Xbox One for free.

When Microsoft announced backwards compatibility, they gave players the choice to vote for what games they would like to see come back the most. Red Dead Redemption finished third on the list with almost 150,000 votes. Now, the game is finally coming to Xbox One.

The announcement of the backwards compatibility for the Xbox One was most definitely one of the most exciting announcements at E3 2015 last week. The program is presently only available for Xbox One Preview Program members (“beta”, basically!), but news has recently come to light through Xbox Support and Xbox spokesman Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, on what the program will include once it has been made available to all Xbox One owners.

The main inclusions of the program will be multiplayer support, cloud save, DLC, and achievements, and when asked on Twitter if DLC will be carried over to Xbox One, Xbox Support responded that the console itself will not prevent such action, but that “DLC of specific titles is up to the publisher.” Hryb also confirmed that, providing the servers are still up, achievements, cloud saves, and multiplayer will still function. Just as they did on the Xbox 360.
