Gigas, Tekken 7’s Hulk-like and latest fighting character, takes to the stage!

Gigas is the all-new fighting character that Bandai Namco have revealed for Tekken 7 and will become playable in Japanese arcades from 28th April 2015. As you can see from the video below, Gigas is a mechanical giant and is sure to destroy any opponent that he comes up against. He’s like a mixture between Bane and Iron Man, who has been religiously on the protein shakes!

The game, powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 4, is already available in Japanese arcades. Bandai Namco have yet to reveal a release date for Tekken 7 coming to other platforms.

Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion

A new Warhammer game has been announced for mobile devices and will be launched this summer!

Calling all Warhammer fans! Rodeo Games, the Warhammer Quest developer, have recently announced that an all-new game is to be released this summer, called Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion. This new Warhammer game is to be released on mobile devices and runs on Epic’s Unreal Engine 4. 

The game is set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000, where players will go on to command a team of Space Marines through a hefty 40 campaign missions where they’ll meet and greet (not so nicely) an enemy known as the Tyranid. An already enticing turn-based strategy game!

As well as single-player mode, the game also features online multiplayer battles. Players are able to customise their Space Marines and equip them with “hundreds” of skills and abilities and all-new and exciting additional items. 

“We had no experience with Unreal Engine before we started work on this project, but we were able to incorporate it into our company quickly,”. “It has been a joy to work with over the last year and it has allowed a small team like us to produce a high quality finished product on mobile.” – Rich Brooks has said, who is the technical director of Rodeo Games. 

This is the first Of Rodeo’s titles using Unreal Engine 4, so let’s hope that Tyranid Invasion captivates many an audience!

Tekken 7 opening movie

Everyone loves a bit of old Tekken, even though there have been mixed reviews about the latest character Lucky Chloe, and yesterday the cinematic opening for the upcoming full arcade release of Tekken 7 was finally revealed!

The video features core Tekken characters Kazuya Mishima and Heihachi Mishima having it out superior to a fiery volcano. Kazumi Mishima (pictured above), also appears in the video and will be making her debut in Tekken 7! Several new characters will be making their series debut in Tekken 7. These will include Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarina and Claudio.

Tekken 7 was announced last year. The game, which is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 4, will be released for Japanese arcades this year. Plans for the game arriving on consoles have yet to be announced.

Game director and series executive producer, Katsuhiro Harada, was quoted as saying that “with Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it. Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, it allows us to immediately bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire.”
