The Epic Games Store has launched its ‘Mega Sale‘ with a massive discount on more than 1,600 games!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Promotion will run for the next 4 weeks up until June 16th.

Epic has announced that over 1,600 games and add-ons with discounts of up to 75%. Alongside this gigantic sale on their online store, Epic have also delivered a free coupon to all Epic Games Store accounts worth 25% off purchases priced at, or combining to, £11.99. While this Mega Sale is happening, for the next four weeks gamers will be able to get their hands on free games with Epic Games Store’s “four weeks of blockbuster free tentpole games” starting with very popular title Borderlands 3, now available until May 26th, In 2021, the Epic giveaways began with NBA 2K21 but Epic has yet announce future free titles.

Epic Games Store sales are bound to continue in 2022 with the summer sale following in July and because of this, the storefront has safely secured a spot in the gaming landscape, providing some much-needed competition to Valve and Steam.

Epic Games Store have always been punching upwards when it comes to gaining popularity with storefront with online games stores being incredibly saturated over the past few years and with Sony and Microsoft releasing versions of their consoles that no longer need discs, this means a large chunk of the player base will only exclusively use the stores on the consoles themselves because you can’t purchase games anywhere else. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Legendary first person shooter receives Christmas No.1 spot in the UK chart!

Now we all knew that this was coming and, sure enough, the COD franchise has done it and taken the Christmas No.1 spot in the UK all-formats chart with ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’. Thanks to a PS4 bundle promotion, the game overtook FIFA 15 in the eleventh hour!

Activision’s shooter series has now topped the UK Christmas chart on five separate occasions.. Wow! FIFA 15 was the clear frontrunner, but has now dropped into second place. 

Amazingly, a 97% surge in sales managed to see ‘Assassin’s Creed: Unity’ into fifth place. ‘The Crew’ also saw a similar push and has taken the sixth spot, as retailers lowered the game’s price by at least £15.

Ubisoft’s biggest games of 2014 are axed from Steam in the UK.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity, The Crew and Far Cry 4 are nowhere to be seen. Not even on Steam’s US site…

None of the aforementioned three games are available through Steam’s US store. Here is what was originally voiced in the first place:

Far Cry 4, Assassin’s Creed: Unity and The Crew will only be available to PC gamers in Britain via Ubisoft’s uPlay store. In light of this, a Ubisoft representative has voiced that the decision was not final.

“We’ve been in discussions with Valve about Assassin’s Creed Unity but for the time being the game is not available via Steam in the UK,” Ubisoft have said. “In the meantime, UK customers wishing to purchase the game digitally can do so by visiting the Uplay store, our retail partners or other digital distributors.”

Although the Steam editions of these games will not be available in Britain, they will still be able to be purchased digitally through GreenManGaming and uPlay.

The reason for these three games’ absence on the Steam website is unclear, though games do not tend to appear on the platform due to legal reasons. For example, back in 2011, EA removed some of it’s games from Steam over DLC royalty rates disagreements. As well as this, Steam owner Valve have run into a number of disputes in the past regarding EU law.

A “Friendly Competition” ad is launched by SONY that emphasizes multi-player…

This brand new ad named “Friendly Competition” is meant to emphasize the feeling you get when playing games alongside friends, says PlayStation marketing exec, Guy Longworth.

“There’s something special about grabbing your PS4 controller, sitting down with a friend, and starting up a game,” Longworth said in a post on the PlayStation Blog. “Whether side-by-side on the couch or online, there’s nothing quite like getting ready for some real competitive or cooperative gaming.”

The ad presents regular people becoming action heroes, basketball champions and space-travelling warriors! The titles on display are NBA 2K15, Destiny and Far Cry 4 which are all multi-platform games. You may have expected to see the ad feature only PlayStation games, seeing as it was produced by SONY. This is not the case! SONY even exclaimed that it is “treating Bungie-developed title (Destiny) like a first-party game”.
