Dodgeball Academia! Hunter’s Arena: Legends! The Falconeer!

We will take you through all the new games releasing on both generations of Sony’s console for this week. Admittedly, it is a pretty slow week with no jaw-dropping triple-A titles hitting stores, but there are definitely a few gems worth picking up. There’ll be plenty of eyes on Hunter’s Arena: Legends, which is free with PS Plus this month. Also, keep an eye out for Dodgeball Academia, as that one could prove promising as well. Cyberpunk 2077 has finally come back to the Playstation store after over half a year of waiting. However, playing on the PS4 is not recommended due to bugs, glitches and performance around frame rates, where gameplay barely touches 30 FPS. Despite being rereleased “Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. ” the Playstation store warns at first, before the game description to send caution to buyers. To enhance your gaming experience, it’s advised to play on the PS4 Pro or the PS5.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world action-roleplaying game developed by CD Projekt. Hinting at the name, it is set in a cyberpunk universe called Night City; a megalopolis, where You play as a mercenary outlaw called V. Cyberpunk 2077 is filled with modifications for your character’s cyberware, skillset and more. You can shape the story and even the world itself based on the choices you make. The gameplay is from a first-person perspective to give that immersive mercenary experience.

This originally debuted on 10 December of 2020, for Xbox One, Stadia, Windows and PlayStation 4. If you missed it, that’s no surprise at all, as it was pulled from the Playstation store after just 7 days of being up due to terrible performance issues; with the worst cases of bugs and glitches on the Xbox One and Playstation 4. The physical version still being available at the time, anyone could grab a copy. However, sales most likely slowed down due to the demands of digital versions.

As CD Projekt Red mentioned themselves, even after its return, ‘they will continue to improve its stability for every platform’ and that “The upgrade will allow the title to take full advantage of the new console’s more powerful hardware.”  The development of a new and improved version is ongoing through a careful process. this will surely take some time. They have also revealed that “A free next-gen upgrade will be available for all owners of the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 in the second half of 2021.”

The second half of 2021 isn’t that long away, some fans predict an update by November later this year. With everyone pumped for what CD Projekt have in store, Playstation fans will be forced to remain patient for a better version to be updated on the PS4. As with any fast-paced game that includes multiple endings, customisations and soft drinks, we all hope it’ll be worth the wait.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

The PlayStation Store accidentally leaked news last night that an Uncharted collection was to be released, but it has since been confirmed.

On Wednesday night a man called Greg Miller, of Kinda Funny, posted the above photo on Twitter, saying “Well… that hit a few hours too early. See you in the AM, G’night y’all.” The post was announcing a PS4 bundle of the Uncharted collection so far, and is shown on the mobile version of the PlayStation Store. 

Since the leak last night, Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has confirmed that the collection will be released this year, and that the post was initially meant to go up this morning. The above photo is still up on Twitter to see, and the bundle is expected for release this October 2015.

Sony PlayStation Store

After their unfortunate Christmas attack last year, Sony offer a 10% PS Store discount

For a very limited time only, the PSN Store 10% discount will run from this Friday 23rd January to next Monday 26th January, for existing PS4 & PS Vita customers. This is Sony’s peace offering due to the recent attack on the PSN last Christmas. Exclusions also apply, with PS Plus subscriptions, Music Unlimited and video rentals not eligible for discount.

Sony have said that the code, which was unavailable at the time of going to press, can be found on the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Twitter account. As well as this, Sony has also begun to extend users’ PS Plus subscriptions by five days at no extra cost. “You will receive an email in the coming days with a confirmation of details about the extension,” the company have said.

Over the Christmas period, Sony’s online network became inaccessible due to a DDoS attack, which is why this discount code has been offered in response. An online group called Lizard Squad, who are the culprits of the attack, are now being pursued by the authorities and at least one arrest has been made already. 

Make sure to take advantage of the 10% offer this weekend while it’s around. You don’t want to miss out!
