Cyberpunk 2077 has finally come back to the Playstation store after over half a year of waiting. However, playing on the PS4 is not recommended due to bugs, glitches and performance around frame rates, where gameplay barely touches 30 FPS. Despite being rereleased “Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. ” the Playstation store warns at first, before the game description to send caution to buyers. To enhance your gaming experience, it’s advised to play on the PS4 Pro or the PS5.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world action-roleplaying game developed by CD Projekt. Hinting at the name, it is set in a cyberpunk universe called Night City; a megalopolis, where You play as a mercenary outlaw called V. Cyberpunk 2077 is filled with modifications for your character’s cyberware, skillset and more. You can shape the story and even the world itself based on the choices you make. The gameplay is from a first-person perspective to give that immersive mercenary experience.
This originally debuted on 10 December of 2020, for Xbox One, Stadia, Windows and PlayStation 4. If you missed it, that’s no surprise at all, as it was pulled from the Playstation store after just 7 days of being up due to terrible performance issues; with the worst cases of bugs and glitches on the Xbox One and Playstation 4. The physical version still being available at the time, anyone could grab a copy. However, sales most likely slowed down due to the demands of digital versions.

As CD Projekt Red mentioned themselves, even after its return, ‘they will continue to improve its stability for every platform’ and that “The upgrade will allow the title to take full advantage of the new console’s more powerful hardware.” The development of a new and improved version is ongoing through a careful process. this will surely take some time. They have also revealed that “A free next-gen upgrade will be available for all owners of the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 in the second half of 2021.”
The second half of 2021 isn’t that long away, some fans predict an update by November later this year. With everyone pumped for what CD Projekt have in store, Playstation fans will be forced to remain patient for a better version to be updated on the PS4. As with any fast-paced game that includes multiple endings, customisations and soft drinks, we all hope it’ll be worth the wait.
