Dead by Daylight has recently revealed a second collaboration with Resident Evil, titled Resident Evil: PROJECT W. This will be the twenty-fifth chapter for the game, and will feature three new playable characters from the Resident Evil franchise.

Dead by Daylight is a multi-player horror/survival game that features four survivors and a single killer, each with a different objective. The killer must hunt, chase and hook the survivors, whilst the survivors must work together to repair generators, evade the killer and escape.

Dead by Daylight is no stranger to collaborating with other franchises, with horror icons including Leatherface, Pyramid Head, Ghostface and Pinhead all being introduced into the game since its launch in 2016. This also isn’t the first collaboration between Dead by Daylight and CAPCOM, with Jill Valentine, Leon S Kennedy and The Nemesis, all being added into the game in June 2021.

Resident Evil: Project W will introduce two new survivors; resident super spy, Ada Wong and young S.T.A.R.S. recruit and medic, Rebecca Chambers, along with one new killer; former Umbrella officer, Albert Wesker (simply referred to as ‘The Mastermind’ in The Fog).

The chapter will also introduce a reworked Raccoon City Police Department map, which has been split into two separate maps; East Wing and West Wing.

Similarly to Chapter 20: Resident Evil’s Nemesis, Albert Wesker harnesses the ability to inflict survivors with a virus, which can only becured with first aid spray littered in chests, around the map. Wesker also has the ability to throw his victims a great distance due to the Uroboros Virus that has infected his body.

Whilst no specific release date has been announced as of late, it is scheduled to be released on all platforms, in Autumn 2022.

Valheim’s most recent update allows players to craft their own maypoles, alongside some general bug fixes…

Valheim, the Viking survival simulator, exploded onto the scene when it launched through Early Access on Steam earlier this year. We witnessed exponential growth in the popularity of the game after it began receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Throughout this process, the developers have constantly been working on the game. This has led to an all-new patch of bug fixes released for Valheim today.

For those who don’t know, Valheim is a brutal exploration and survival game that can feature anywhere from 1-10 players. It is set in a procedurally generated purgatory inspired by Viking culture/Norse mythology. To leave Valheim and gain passage into an afterlife in Valhalla, players must scavenge, craft equipment, survive the environment, and slay the ferocious realm conquering beasts. Battle, build and conquer your way to a saga worthy of Odin’s patronage.

The developers latest patch, 0.155.7, primarily focuses on bug fixes and balancing tweaks. However, a major addition that players will undoubtedly be pleased about is the ability to craft your own maypole. Previously, you had to go out of your way to find them in abandoned villages. Now you can simply craft them as a part of the furniture for your humble abode.

Maypoles were highly coveted items, as they increase Comfort Level when resting next to them. Comfort Level is an important thing to monitor in Valheim, as when kept high, you can receive a damage buff which can be extremely helpful for those tough boss fights.

More general fixed issues include:

• Saves being corrupted when exiting the game.
• Players having to click containers multiple times to open them during multiplayer sessions.
• SFX volume setting in the menu using wrong decibel conversion
• AI issues, e.g. Greydwards are now allowed to throw more accurately and farther, stopping bosses from running away from players, tweaking Valheim’s wolf event so it only triggers are the boss Bonemass has been slain etc.

The patch isn’t the most exciting for those who are desperate for new content to play through. However, the introductions of craftable maypoles and some of the tweaks will likely be welcomed by all Valheim players alike.

Welcome to 2016’s new unforgettable survival horror, were you are placed into the post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. This game is a unique design combination of first person shooter, survival horror, tower defence and role-playing games. Your player will need your help to combat, craft, loot, mining, exploring and character building. Only with your help as a player can you make your character psychically able to survive in this world. The release date is going to be in June 2016 and the PEGI rating has yet to be confirmed. It is going to be released on all major consoles such as PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

From looking at content that has been released, the game already looks like it is going to be a hit with people who are already in world of survival games such as DayZ which many people know is a massive game throughout PC.

The looting system looks amazing, you’re basically looking for supplies which are going to keep your heart beating throughout the game. This includes things such as food so you can keep your strength at a reasonable level. Another thing to loot for is weapons. Weapons are a big part of your survival as you need something to fight of zombies when you come in to close contact with them.
