The Epic Games Store has launched its ‘Mega Sale‘ with a massive discount on more than 1,600 games!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Promotion will run for the next 4 weeks up until June 16th.

Epic has announced that over 1,600 games and add-ons with discounts of up to 75%. Alongside this gigantic sale on their online store, Epic have also delivered a free coupon to all Epic Games Store accounts worth 25% off purchases priced at, or combining to, £11.99. While this Mega Sale is happening, for the next four weeks gamers will be able to get their hands on free games with Epic Games Store’s “four weeks of blockbuster free tentpole games” starting with very popular title Borderlands 3, now available until May 26th, In 2021, the Epic giveaways began with NBA 2K21 but Epic has yet announce future free titles.

Epic Games Store sales are bound to continue in 2022 with the summer sale following in July and because of this, the storefront has safely secured a spot in the gaming landscape, providing some much-needed competition to Valve and Steam.

The post Epic Games Store’s Mega Sale 2022 is now on!!! first appeared on Get2Gaming.

It was revealed recently by The Suicide Squad’s director, James Gunn, that Harley Quinn’s costume design from the movie is based on her look from the best-selling game Batman: Arkham City.

Speaking in a recent trailer breakdown with IGN for the latest trailer, Gunn reveals one of the things he gets constantly asked about in interviews is what will Harley Quinn be wearing in the film. He goes onto confirm the suspicions fans had made during the first two trailer drops that his inspiration for Harley’s first outfit in the film came from Batman: Arkham City.

The red and black colour scheme is what makes this look iconic, with Margot Robbie’s plaits and makeup matching the game’s own design. Robbie wears a similar pair of gloves and choker, and her top is the exact same design as the one that features in the game. There is one major addition, the jacket, which Gunn goes onto describe.

I knew I wanted to have something written on the back of her jacket, motorcycle gang style, and so that’s where I came up with ‘Live fast, die clown.’ Although there were some other options. We also made a jacket that says ‘Clown AF’ and we had another jacket that says ‘World’s Best Grandpa.’ And it was between those three different jackets. – James Gunn, IGN

James Gunn also stated he had a huge map of different looks of Harley Quinn throughout the years in various media, and this is the one that he liked the best, giving high praise to the game itself.

The Batman: Arkham games by Rocksteady Studios certainly redefined superhero games during their time, with Asylum, City, and Knight being critically praised and loved by fans (for the most part) for their exceptional storytelling, awesome character designs and remarkable combat.

However, it is interesting to note the singular focus that has been placed on Harley Quinn’s character design from the film. With Gunn being asked constantly what she will be wearing, it would be nice to know if the male character designs have been treated the same way.

With over half the year gone already, we thought we would take a look at our favourite top 5 games so far! 

5. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D

Having originally being released on the Nintendo 64 in 2000, Nintendo decided to release, one of the strangest Zelda titles to say the least, on Nintendo 3DS. The game takes Link out of the better known Hyrule and strands him in the strangle lands of Termina, a dark twisted universe. In this time-travel themed game, Link has three days to try and stop the moon from falling and, in that case, burning the world. Although Princess Zelda makes only a slight appearance during a flashback, this fantastic N64 game have been remastered to perfection for Nintendo 3DS users and comes in at number 5 in our top 5 games of 2015 so far.

4. Splatoon 

The Wii U haven’t had too many games to boast this year but we’ve given there hit Splatoon number four in our list. A light-hearted ‘Battlefield’, Splatoon redefines the genre of shooters taking away realistic violence and bringing some good ole’ innocent fun, whilst swapping blood and bullets for ink. The atmosphere of the game is uplifting, and although it is primarily a multiplayer title, the single-player mode is brilliant fun. Splatoon is packed with charm, plays like a dream whilst suitable for all ages, bringing a new experience to the shooting genre.

3. Lego Jurassic World

Lego games are always good fun and Lego Jurassic World is no different. We’ve enjoyed it so much its managed to take the third spot in our top 5 games so far. Along with the recent release of the hit new film in the iconic series, Jurassic World, this game also follows the epic storyline of the three previous Jurassic Park films, giving the user plenty to do. As well as playing through the films, you can spend hours going off story and exploring the well-designed open islands, finding all the little secrets and hidden areas on the way. The addition of being able to play as a dinosaur makes the experience even better. The producers have delivered on the nostalgia, along with adding a comical side to the story, and all in all creating a game that us lot down here have enjoyed very much!

2. Batman: Arkham Knight

Been out less than a week and it slots straight in to number two, one of the most highly anticipated games of the year has without doubt lived up to the hype. Rocksteady Studios along with Warner Bros. have produced a near-flawless game, which I have no doubt will be in a lot of people’s top ten list when they sit down at the end of the year. The previous Batman games were brilliant and they’ve only gone and done it again, with the addition of the Batmobile and a larger city to explore, the producers have created a stunning game in terms of both gameplay and the visuals. Flying around Gotham, coming up against the well-known super villains such as The Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, whilst teaming up with Robin, Nightwing and Catwomen; giving the gamer a superb experience.

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

There was only one game that was going to take our top spot and it has to be The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Let alone 2015, its one of the best games we’ve seen and played in a long time. It defines the RPG genre and the developers down at CD Projeck Red have produced one of the most convincing fantasy open-worlds, full of quests and land to explore; be it run, sail or ride. CD Projeck Red are putting out a free DLC each week to give the gamer consistency something new to sink their teeth into, as well as two massive expansions expected later in the year. The storyline is amazing to say the least, put together with the gameplay system and ridiculous (in a good way) graphics, this is as good as it gets and I’m sure will be competing for top spot come the end of the year. Kudos CD Projeck Red, Kudos!

Batman : Arkham Knight dethrone Lego Jurassic Park to take top spot in UK charts.

A week is a long time in the gaming industry and it was only last week when Lego Jurassic Park gained top place from The Elder Scrolls Online. A week later and it is already knocked to second-place due to the release of the hit Batman: Arkham Knight, which has taken massive sales. Batman’s first week sales have surpassed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and according to UK sales monitor Chart-Track, makes it the fastest selling game of the year so far.

The recently released Yoshi’s Woolly World also makes a appearance, taking fourth-place. The full UK top ten for the week are as followed:

With incoming patches for PC, Warner Bros. confirm they will take time to ensure they get the right fixes in place.

Since release on the PC, Batman: Arkham Knight has experienced countless problems, which has led to the game being temporary suspended from Steam. Developer Rocksteady, along with publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have released a patch on PC to fix certain issues, one being the disabling of the game’s rain effects. The updates in the first patch includes:

• Fixed a crash that was happening for some users when exiting the game.
• Fixed a bug which disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion. We are actively looking into fixing other bugs to improve this further
• Corrected an issue that was causing Steam to re-download the game when verifying the integrity of the game cache through the Steam client
• Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when turning off Motion Blur in BmSystemSettings.ini. A future patch will enable this in the graphics settings menu

The statement also listed key areas where they are dedicating resources to improve the experience:

• Support for frame rates above 30FPS in the graphics settings menu
• Fix for low resolution texture bug
• Improve overall performance and framerate hitches
• Add more options to the graphics settings menu
• Improvements to hard drive streaming and hitches
• Address full screen rendering bug on gaming laptop
• Improvements to system memory and VRAM usage
• NVIDIA SLI bug fixes
• Enabling AMD Crossfire
• NVIDIA and AMD updated drivers

After reports about PC performance issues, Batman: Arkham Knight have been temporary suspended from Steam.

Earlier in the week we reported the on-going PC problems when trying to play the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight, that was only released on Monday.  The PC edition of the game seemed to be carrying rather noticeable glitches and bugs, that were rumoured to have something to do with the AMD Card. Due to these reasons, Steam posted a statement to confirm the suspension of Arkham Knight sales on steam for the foreseeable future till the problem is fixed.

“We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.”

Batman: Arkham Knight has itself some Superman easter eggs

The game was only released yesterday, and someone has already found 3 Superman easter eggs! The video posted below is by Arrekz Gaming. It is not a spoiler, but if you don’t wish to see inside the GCPD or want to check your own answering machine messages, then maybe don’t watch!

Gotham is clearly a place for Superman too, and we can see from the video just how well the superhero fits in!

Batman: Arkham Knight – PC freezes seem to have something to do with AMD Card

The PC edition of the game seems to be carrying rather noticeable glitches and bugs. This appears to have something to do with the AMD graphics cards. These technical issues have been including audio glitches, freezes, and frame-rate stutters. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment adjusted its system requirements, leaving with it a warning about possible AMD compatibility problems, so players have expected that something of this nature may happen.

VP of game technology at Warner Bros Interactive, Gary Lake-Schall, posted on Steam that “there are some known issues with the performance of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC owners using AMD graphics cards.” He also went on to add – “We are working closely with AMD to rectify these issues as quickly as possible and will provide updates here as they become available. We thank you for your patience in this matter.”

AMD has followed this message up with numerous driver updates, in the hope that this will finally resolve the glitches currently occurring. It should be taken into account that only those who are using AMD cards have found these problems arising within the game. Any issues without the use of this card have yet to be heard of, and lets hope it stays that way!

Less than a day before release of the highly anticipated new Batman game and a first day patch has already been revealed. 

Due to be released tomorrow, Batman: Arkham Knight’s developer Rocksteady Studios, are already pushing out a day-one patch that will include various fixes, as well as improvements for the game. Reports online speculate that it will be a 3.5GB patch, whilst PlayStation Lifestyle report that the patch will offer the following changes:

• Improved Performance
• Stability Fixes
• New feature: Rival Points
• New feature: Original Batsuit skin available to select
• Support for “A Matter Of Family” additional content (this is the preorder-exclusive prequel DLC)
• General gameplay, graphical, audio, UI, and localization fixes

The Collector’s Edition for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight has been cancelled by Warner Bros.

Almost days before it’s release, Warner Bros. have decided to cancel the Collector’s Edition for Batman: Arkham Knight, which was due to come out with a transformable Batmobile. The company have shed light on the matter, saying that there have been quality issues with this particular bundle which has led to them having to scrap it altogether.

The rest of the Batmobile Edition Bundle included the action-adventure game with an 80-page art book, steel book case, limited edition DC comic, three New 52 skins and the transformable Batmobile (and so begin the sighs). Fear not though! Warner Bros., as an apology, are offering the New 52 skin pack, which includes the Caped Crusader, Robin and Nightwing, to anyone who pre-ordered the Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition – for FREE! The bundle was initially priced at £170.
