Rockstar Games has finally confirmed a new Grand Theft Auto game is in development, and is well underway.
“With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we’ve previously delivered. We’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.” Rockstar announced on the official Twitter account regarding the potential GTA 6, should the entry be named that title.
Outside of confirmation of the game’s development Rockstar have not spoken of the game itself or a release date, however some reports have stated that the game may follow a Miami-themed setting in Vice City. Sometime last year Rockstar also experimented with a newer system of NPC navigation, for more realistic, lifelike traffic behaviour – which some believe could be implemented into the new entry.
