Last week, Netflix made its new game selection available to all subscribers with access to an Android platform. Starting today at 6pm GMT, iPhone / iPad users will be able to join in on the action as well.

In the Netflix app, you will see a dedicated row for games, from which you can choose what you want to download. The iPad app will allow you to select the games category from a dropdown menu, too.

Thanks to Apple‘s policies in regards to the App Store, the process will work slightly differently from its Android counterpart. The main Netflix app will still provide access to the games library, but the games will launch as a separate app.

Once the app opens, you’ll have to authenticate your Netflix account. Then you’re all set to game!

The games coming to iOS are the same ones that launched on Android, including Shooting Hoops, Teeter Up and Card Blast. Additionally, there are two Stranger Things titles: Stranger Things 1984 and Stranger Things 3.

The next game heading to the platform will supposedly be a League of Legends rhythm game called ‘Hextech Mayhem’. It will launch on November 16th for Nintendo Switch and PC, and should join Netflix at a later date.

Though the new service’s catalogue is very small at the moment, it’s available to Netflix subscribers at no additional cost (and who doesn’t have Netflix in this day and age? Even if you’re squatting on a friend’s account).

NBA 2K22: Arcade Edition app is set to be released with the launch date being confirmed.

NBA 2K22 has been available for just over a month with the game releasing September 10^th. The NBA community have been divided on the release with a clear opinion not being set. Some enjoy it as it is a newly updated NBA game whereas others feel “the game adds nothing to the series” specifying on there not being many additions from 2K21. With the NBA season fast approaching, NBA 2K announce the release of the Arcade Edition for the season start, October 19^th with hopes of impressing the community as a whole.

With the NBA 2K Mobile App already available for Android and iOS devices. The Arcade Edition app is set to be more of an advanced experience bringing a great feeling to console, PC and mobile devices. The app intends to allow players to engage more, portably and anywhere they would like. NBA 2K plan on bridging the gap between the mobile experience and the experience of playing on console and PC. NBA announced the return of the Arcade Edition for this years’ adding that there will be significant differences.

Although the Mobile App is available on both iOS and Android, the Arcade Edition App will exclusively be available on iOS devices. With the release so close, despite the fact it is free of charge. It will cost reportedly a little more than 6.3 GB in file size if no patch or adjustment is made during release.

The Arcade Edition App will include My Career and The Association. The Association being a new inclusion which combines features from MyGM and MyTeam that feature on console; allowing you to create your dream team with all the inclusions of scouting rookies, making trades and recruiting free agents. Arcade Edition also allowing you to play multiplayer game modes against others online, PvP modes with hopes of improving previous controller issues which saw players struggle to connect controllers to the app which is now supposedly compatible with both Xbox One and Dualshock 4 (PS4) controllers.

NBA 2K22: Arcade Edition launches on the same day NBA’s 75^th season tips-off; making it a monumental moment with fans having the expectation of big things. Players will be able to rock the court on nearly every iOS device in date as soon as tomorrow. Including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.

It’s been a long time coming, but the Pokémon Trading Card Game is finally coming to iPhone and Android devices. Fans of the series have been able to play the TGC on PC for some time but now can take it to their handheld devices. The new app will be called ‘TCG Live’, the Pokémon Company released a press release via their website.

Veterans and noobs alike can enjoy this version of the game as the site claims;

“Trainers of all skill levels will enjoy the new Pokémon TCG Live. Those who are just getting started in the Pokémon TCG will find it easy to learn, while experienced players will discover fresh challenges to improve and test their skills.”

Good news for players old, young, experienced and amateur alike playing this competitively online without knowing what to do would be uncompromising.

The card game has always been an intricate, tactical strategy game; knowing the deck you own inside out is imperative to winning or having a fighting chance. As well as building your most robust deck, it’s possible to customise an avatar in whichever style you like, head to toe.

Unfortunately, due to this release of the new version, the previous Pokémon TCG will be shut down for the updated and hopefully improved TCG Live. However, similarly to the last game, trainers who buy physical cards can scan in their QR codes received to battle with them, keeping the desirable copies safe. Luckily for avid collectors, your current cards are transferrable over to the new game to be used once more, and according to the press release, are “easily transferable”, along with their accounts and game data.

There will be some cards unplayable at launch, but after a few updates should be able to play. Unfortunately, only 59 energy cards can be transferred over, which isn’t a large number for these. Luckily, they are to be reimbursed through in-game currency, which you can spend how you like.

With the amazing news that Mario will be introduced to a new platform, there has been some not so amazing news for VR fans. Miyamoto thinks that Mario does not really fit in with virtual reality. Personally it has been my dream to see lie through Mario’s eyes.

Miyamoto made an amazing surprise appearance at Apple iPhone 7’s conference to announce this brilliant news. This will be the first time ever for Mario to make his appearance on a mobile game for iOS. However, even though Nintendo are embracing phones for a new platform for these classic games to continue on. It seems Miyamoto is less enthusiastic about Mario and other Nintendo characters to step in to the virtual reality world.

Miyamoto then went on and told USA Today that:

“I would agree that adapting Mario to new platforms is a key to keeping him relevant,” “But we want families to play together, and virtual reality doesn’t really fit well there. We also like people playing for a long time, and it’s hard to do that in VR.”

Finally. 35 years after we first saw Mario, he is coming to the mobile. For the first time you will be able to play a Mario platformer on your iPhone.

This year we really have seen mobile game revolutionise with the introduction of Pokémon Go which took the world by storm and gained over 500 million downloads. Now it looks like mobile gaming is going to take an even bigger leap forward with the introduction of Super Mario Run. 2016 will see Pokémon and Mario, the two biggest gaming franchises, come to mobile.

Plague Inc which is a well-known game which is downloadable on phones via app stores. This is where you have to create your own virus and give it a unique name, which will be known worldwide for killing the whole of the human population.

The analytics of the game have come out that the top three names people are calling their diseases are:

1. Brexit
2. Donald Trump
3. Death

Donald Trump was sitting at the top for the most used names, however since England has left the EU the popularity around the subject has shot ‘Brexit’ to the top.

Sorry iPhone 6+ users but your going to need to downgrade if you want a real-life Pip-Boy.

The much anticipated Fallout 4 will be released on November 10th, and as most people know, the collector’s edition of the game will come with a real-life Pip-Boy.  A recent post on the Bethesda Blog confirmed that the replica will have foam inserts that fit iPhone 4/4s, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy 4, Samsung Galaxy 6 and most smartphones of similar size. Unfortunately iPhone 6+, and similar sized phones, won’t be able to fit inside the Pip-Boy but will still let you run the companion app.

A post of the blog read, “As we wanted to stay faithful to the dimensions of the in-game model, any smartphones larger than the models listed will not fit inside the wearable device. For these large devices, out Pip-Boy companion app will still be available.”

The Fallout 4 Collector’s Edition is currently sold out in North America, whilst it is expected Bethesda will release information on it availability in European territories soon. While you wait for an update, check out this brilliant story involving a Fallout fan and 2,000 bottle caps.

Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect

The first of ten episodes in the ‘Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect’ series comes to iPad and iPhone

The exceedingly popular Sons of Anarchy TV series may have to an end, but the franchise now lives on in the form of an episodic mobile game which is available now for $2!

The first episode is available to purchase now on iTunes and is aiming to capture the  “vivid action and life-and-death decision-making” of the recent television show. The game has an interactive narrative which features an original story that “explores new and familiar characters, setting, and intrigue” from the overall Sons of Anarchy universe. 

Kurt Sutter (creator and showrunner of the Sons of Anarchy TV series) and his writing team have collaborated with Silverback Games in the development of the game series. Sutter has been trying to make a Sons of Anarchy game for a very long time and seemed much pleased that it has now all come to light – “It’s finally f**king here,” Sutter said. “It’s awesome. Play it. Live it. Be the prospect.”

The game features voice work by Sons of Anarchy actor Kim Coates, who played Alex “Tig” Trager in the series. It has yet to be revealed if any of the other actors from the TV series are getting involved with game at all.

There will be ten Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect episodes in all, with various instalments to be released later in the year. The game is also planned for release across Android, Mac and PC, with release dates for those platforms to follow.
