Fortnite leakers are back at it again by leaking the upcoming Dune collab

Something Fortnite and Epic Games have become familiar with are the many collaborations the game has with multiple IPs from different brands. So far this year we have seen Loki, Shang-Chi, and Monopoly don the Fortnite skins and cosmetics.

There’s even a Naruto crossover rumoured to happen.

However, the next collab we are expected to see, thanks to Fortnite dataminers, is one with Dune.

Fortnite x Dune

Dune is the upcoming sci-fi film starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaacs, Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson and many more iconic actors, that is based on a sci-fi book that shares the same title, released in 1965. It has already been released in some areas in the world, yet the UK and the US will receive the film in cinemas on October 21 and October 22 respectively.

And with a few days to go until it is finally released everywhere, popular Fortnite leakers such as ShiinaBR, HYPEX, and VenomLeaks decrypted the game’s files and shared what we can expect from the upcoming Fortnite x Dune collab.

The collab will receive skins of Timothée and Zendaya’s characters in the film, along with cosmetics such as Satchels, Harvesting Tools, and Loading Screens.

Sadly there has yet to be a release date announced for the Fortnite x Dune collaboration, yet it is most likely to be released when the film comes out in the US since it is one of the last countries to receive it.

Splash Damage is working on a new project and is looking for new people to hire for the project!

Splash Damage, a British studio knows for its work on other companies’ franchises, such as Halo, Gears of War, and Wolfenstein has announced it will be working on a new, original sci-fi game.

Splash Damage has created its own IP in its 20 years of work, such as Brink, Outcasters, and Dirty Bomb, but has yet to name this new, exciting project. Why? Because they want YOU to be involved.

Splash Damage: Now Hiring

Splash Damage announced the news on its website and through its social media pages that it is looking for new employees to work on the upcoming sci-fi project.

It isn’t stated what kind of game this new project will be, however, Splash Damage is most known for making multiplayer, third-person shooter games, yet there is no guarantee this will project will be in the same format. All that has been shared so far is a piece of concept art that has an astronaut-type figure in a dark, eerie part of space.

Another indication we have about the game is there will be an online aspect since one of the job roles currently on offer is a Lead Online Services Programmer that has been asked to have experience with PSN, Xbox Live and Steam. Other roles are recommended to have experience in Unreal Engine 4, and development for Switch and mobile platforms.

The post Splash Damage: British Developer Announces New Sci-Fi Game in the Works first appeared on Get2Gaming.

As always, E3 this year was packed with new releases and revelations fans could expect for a variety of different video game franchises (If you missed our breakdown for the event, you can check it out here). Yet sometimes news surrounding the event can be swept under the radar, just like this piece of news.

Yes, Bethesda has confirmed Inon Zur is putting together the score for its highly anticipated sci-fi epic Starfield. 

The composer confirmed he would be working on the sci-fi game back in June on his website, stating he would be working with Bethesda once more. He expresses that he considers it to be an honour to work on the game’s score, adding that he admires and appreciates the entire team behind Bethesda for entrusting it to him.

Zur also describes his composition efforts as having a “unique, classical sci-fi direction” and you can hear a snippet of his work in the trailer released at E3, as well as the second trailer “The Journey Begins”, which teases concept art and behind-the-scenes footage.

The sentiments go both ways as Bethesda’s director and executive producer Todd Howard expressed Zur is a “good friend and long time collaborator” and describes what Zur has done so far for the game has been “beautiful and wonderous”, adding he cannot wait to share the score with the fans.

Inon Zur has composed the soundtracks for many epic games in the past: Baldur’s Gate 2, SOCOM 2, Dragon Age: Origins, and Fallout 4 just to name a few. Yet this will be his first plunder into AAA sci-fi, with Starfield already being compared to Halo, Mass Effect, and Destiny.

After drifting in space for almost a decade, Dead Space may be floating back to Earth’s orbit…

As previously reported, there have been rumours that a new Dead Space game is in the works following various comments from developers and writers hinting at the project.

Well, the rumour mill keeps on turning as more fuel has been added to the fire.

The official Dead Space Youtube channel has recently changed its profile picture for the first time in nearly a decade. The previous picture was from the most recent 2013 instalment, Dead Space 3. They have now changed it to generic art for the series.

The picture in the top half showing the Dead Space 3 logo was what the display picture used to be. The new profile image can be seen in the lower half.

Admittedly, this does not seem to be too significant in the grand scheme of things. It could just be an old employee with access to the account since the original creator, Visceral, was shut down. It at least somewhat corroborates the reports of Electronic Arts’ efforts to revive the franchise in the near future. Although, with current speculation that the game will be announced at EA Play Live on July 22nd, the timing is too perfect.

We will just have to wait for July 22nd to see if the rumours are, in fact, true.

Is Isaac Clarke making a return?

There have been rumours circulating of a new instalment in the Dead Space series potentially being in the works. Different developers and News Outlets have left a trail of bread crumbs and we have been attempting to follow them in true Hansel & Gretel fashion.

During a video stream on Friday, Gamesbeat journalist Jeff Grubb hinted that an unannounced EA title would be revealed at their event on July 22. He had previously stated that EA’s Motive studio had been working on “an established IP” revival. “I think you’ll be happy,” he said. A few days later, he teased: “we’re going to see it… if we’re not dead first”.

Additionally, one of the previous Dead Space writers Antony Johnston had recently taken to Twitter to tease fans, stating that he had been working on an upcoming game for the last two years. Coincidence? I think not.

All jokes aside, we will have to wait until the July 22 event to discover whether the rumours actually have any weight. However, I for one cannot wait.

As reported by Gematsu, the game is likely to be more of a “reimagining” rather than a direct sequel to the existing trilogy. Therefore, we may not be revisiting Isaac Clarke’s character. However, it’s likely this upcoming game will maintain a lot of the same core mechanics. For example, the third person element, along with similar eerie Sci-Fi horror and gore.

I am particularly interested to see how they utilise PS5’s Tempest Audio Engine. Alongside the PS5’s graphical potential, this game could set a precedent for how new horror games are developed in the future.
