These handheld lanterns can also be placed as a decorative item on display and can be turned on and off by your villagers or yourself. These lanterns look beautiful on display at night beside a river or the island entrance.

If you gather enough lanterns and place them around the island accordingly, you can have a unique welcome sign for visitors on your island when they fly over through the Dodo airport.

 

Just in case you’ve forgotten, Nintendo premiered the Animal Crossing New Horizons’ Direct in October and announced a massive update arriving on the 5^th November, including the Happy Home Paradise DLC!
