Skyrim is already Rivaling the original DOOM for being ported to Systems that should, by no right, have the game on them. And the game is about to gain another one, Tabletop. The game was announced back in February, and it has now launched on Crowdfunding Site GameFound.
As of writing, it has already been funded, with the Game reaching its £100,000 goal in less than 30 minutes, and is currently on the verge of Quintupling the original goals, which means that 7 out of the nine stretch goals have already been fulfilled.
If you are into miniatures, this game will be a good project. The base pack is going to come with 50 Miniatures (not including those added through stretch goals), which, while intended for use with the game, could very easily be used to play RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder, Or wargames like “Warhammer: Age of Sigmar”.
According to Polygon, Players will take up the roll of 1 of 6 characters, each from the major races of skyrim (A Nord, An Imperial, An Altmer, A Dunmer, an Orisimer and a Khajiit), and then you will partake in two campaigns across 3 chapters, with plot continuity between them. For example, you could Kill a High ranking Imperial Officer in one game, and he will still be dead when you play the next one. This system bears similarity to the Fallout Board game, which makes sense, given they are both based on Bethesda properties and made by modiphius production.
Games will take roughly between 90 Minutes and 2 hours. The game takes place 25 years after the events of the Skyrim videogame, and will allow you to Meet up with the dragonborn himself.
The game is pricy, clocking in at roughly £82, but for what you get in the box its well worth it. Trust me, if your in this for the Minis, you can get far less for far more if your not carful. If its too rich for your blood right now, there will be a retail version released, which will clock in at about £100 and will almost certainly be available fom Go2Games.com
