Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the franchise’s debut, a new duo of tamagotchi devices are announced for preorder.
With the Kingdom Hearts Anniversary here, fans of the series are celebrating the debut of the first game after 20 long, memorable years. The franchise has grown extraordinarily over the years, and many look forward to any new arrivals to the series.
While there haven’t been any games coming out recently, with Melody of Memory coming out in 2020, the series have seen many tie-ins and crossovers; From Sora joining the Smash Bros. Ultimate roster to even a much smaller (and even cuter) tie to the virtual buddy Tamagotchi.
For those who haven’t heard of them, Tamagotchi are small handheld toys from the 1990’s which the player can raise a Tamagotchi egg from hatching. Though like other videogame crossovers, things may be handled a little different.
They come in two different colours, a Dark Mode and Light Mode, with 20 teased characters alltogether, including Sora, Riku, Donald, Goofy, and many more. The Tamagotchi is $20 a piece, and Premium Bandai are currently taking preorders through May 5 with the official release later in October. Unfortunately though, there is currently no method for fans to order through the English website and may need to wait for a translated version.
