A recent datamine of Call of Duty vanguard has revealed the possibility of an upcoming crossover with the Popular Anime and Manga Franchise “Attack on Titan” (Shingeki no Kyojin, lit. Advancing Giants).
On sunday, Dataminer @_Nanikos_ revealed that the game had strings of code within it that reference “aot_titan” as a playable operator in the game, along with a weapon attatchment that could see release as part of a bundle.
This would not be the first time COD has crossed over with other franchises, with the series previously crossing over with Judge Dread and Rambo.
Been quite a few things found in memory dumps for vanguard. The most interesting one being a mention of a "swordtitan" aswell as an "aot_titan" operator.

this rumor was further supported by @ZestyCODLeaks who also found reference to a sword from Attack on Titan in vanguards code.
Also, it looks like we are getting some sort of 'Sword' melee weapon that isn't the Katana.
It is codenamed 'aot_swords'/'s4_me_swordtitan' and when I read 'AOT' I just think of 'Attack on Titan'…just a tinfoil hat theory though

The rumor was all but confirmed when the model for the Iconic blades from attack on titan where ripped from the gamefiles by @DRAKEHURLEYYT Via Greyhound

As of right now Activision, Owners of Call of Duty, Sledgehammer, Developers of Vanguard, or Kodansha, the publishers of Attack on Titan, have said anything in regards to confirming or denying this crossover.
What is “Attack on Titan”?
Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin, lit. Advancing Giants) is a serialised Manga by Hajime Isayama that was adapted into the massively popular TV anime from Wit Studio that began Airing in 2013 and has the second part of its final season set to air in early 2022.
Attack On Titan is set in a world where humans live behind 3 giant walls that where constructed to keep out the Titans, a race of giant humanoids who will eat any people they encounter on sight. the series begins with the outer most of these walls, “Wall Maria” is breached during the sudden appearance of “the Colossal Titan”, a titan significantly larger and seemingly more intelligent than any that people had encountered before.
Isayama has stated that they got the idea for attack on titan while working at an internet cafe. one day someone came in and grabbed Isayama by the collar. Isayama stated that with the titans he wanted to show “the fear of meeting a person I can’t communicate with”.
Attack on titans Anime adaptation began back in 2013, but would not receive its second season for 5 years, with season 2 beginning in 2017. the final season, season 4, started airing in 2020, and will conclude in 2022. the final season is being animated by Studio MAPPA, as opposed to Wit Studio who animated season 1 through 3.
