Bloomberg reported last year that the new model of the Nintendo Switch would be out in 2021. This week a new model of the Nintendo Switch would be out sometime in 2021. This week more news came including the size of the screen as well as some 4K news.
The original report stated that Nintendo ‘has looked into including more computing power and 4K high-definition graphics.’ This has now been confirmed as the new model will feature an OLED screen which is seven inches across. The new screen made by Samsung is bigger than the current switch models which are 6.2 inches and 5.5 inches for the regular and lite Switch.
The new model will also output 4K visuals when connected to a TV, which is set to really change the resolution when switching between docked and handheld mode.
Bloomberg’s report says production on the new screens will begin in June, with the “displays slated for shipment to assemblers around July,” meaning the new model will be available for fans in the summer time.
