Gege Akutami the author of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Well lets get started, so I’m gonna be comparing bleach to Jujutsu Kaisen and how inspiration was brought to the making of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen is an amazing anime in my opinion, I tried not to read the manga but when you become apart of certain anime community’s or type in Jujutsu Kaisen fight scenes, you end up getting other YouTube channels with commentators explaining what happened in the anime and theories of what will happen next, I’m a huge part of the problem.
Because when I see a title like, Satoru Gojo is Dying, A Sorcerer That DEFEATED Gojo! Kenjaku Culling Game Explained (JUJUTSU KAISEN), I click on it like the dumb dumb that I am because I can’t resist the temptation to ignore the eye catching thumbnail and as well as the title, story of my life am I right?
So anyway, let’s get to the point, Jujutsu Kaisen as we know is inspired by Bleach and Naruto, we can tell this by the philosophies of the characters, oh wait I haven’t given you a brief of about Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuji Itadori the main character of the story, is a young high schooler that has to join a secrete organization of Jujutsu sources after swallowing Ryomen Sukuna’s finger- argh I’m such a doughnut I wasn’t mean to say that, oh well now you know…… so because Yuji swallowed Ryomen Sukuna’s finger, which is known as a cursed object, Yuji is now the vessel to the curse Ryomen Sukuna, in order to defeat Ryomen Sukuna Yuji has to find all of Sukuna’s fingers and consume them, his fate is in the hands of the Jujutsu higher ups.
So, in Jujutsu Kaisen the story kind of starts of similarly to Bleach, normal teen boy high schooler, that attends school and meets someone who is lives in a different world compared to what the main character is living in, because the main character hasn’t been exposed to that world, nor seen any of the strange phenomena, this is how Bleach and Jujutsu Kaisen start off.
Another thing that Jujutsu Kaisen has referenced from Bleach is the monsters, in Bleach they are known as hollows and in Jujutsu Kaisen they are known as curses, one thing that is most notable with the similarities, is that Jujutsu Kaisen curses (monsters) were humans before they died, just like in bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist, either that or the humans got turned into curses, by some unknow yet known source.
In bleach there are three judases within the soul society and they are high ranking, they are captains, the three captains betray their comrades and commanders within the soul society, which is apart of their big plan to cause war and to create a world within imbalance of both hollows and humans, and again I repeat.
Jujutsu Kaisen has very similar plots with an authentic twist, there is a traitor in the Jujutsu Kaisen world that was once close to Satoru Gojo a teacher at Jujutsu tech, this traitor reveals his evil plans to bring back an era where the king of curses will rule again and for every human to become Jujutsu sources, so that way curses will no longer exist, because curses are caused by humans after dying with fear or regret.
Even as a Jujutsu Kaisen you can even die with or regret, so there is not that much of a difference.
In Bleach there are Hollows that have more advanced abilities, such as being able to talk, and some being able to have a human form which are known as the Espada’s, the Espada’s have such a unique trait of having holes in their bodies, espada ranks from 1 to 10 with the strongest abilities, the Espada’s where created by the traitor of the soul society.
To use as an army to fight against the captains and other comrades of the soul society.
Jujutsu Kaisen has similar characters with these abilities except they don’t have holes in their bodies, and they two are known as curses that are ranked as special grade curses.
There is another curse known as death painting curse wombs within the Jujutsu Kaisen world, the huge difference is that these curse are half human and half curse, only one of these curses is physically exist now.
There are more death painting curse wombs that haven’t manifested yet physically, I think I’m done with comparing I don’t want to give away too much.
I am going to write another JJK (Jujutsu Kaisen) comparing the characters to Naruto and how they are similar, any way that the end.
