Sony and Guerrilla Games’ PS4 title Horizon Zero Dawn is now available, free of cost, to PS4 and PS5 owners thanks to Sony’s Play at Home Initiative. PlayStation users can get their free copy of the game now, up until May 14th at 8PM PT / 11PM ET.
Not only are Sony giving away the game for free, but they are offering the Complete Edition, allowing players to get the base game with some added extras. These include the Frozen Wilds expansion as well as a digital artbook. Unlike the PS Plus free games, players will be given the game with no strings attached, meaning they do not have to require a subscription to Sony.
Horizon Zero Dawn was originally launched in 2017 exclusive to PS4. The game allows players to control a hunter named Aloy who explores a post-apocalyptic world whilst searching for clues about her past. The game is due to receive a sequel called Forbidden West, which is rumoured to be released this year for both the PS4 and PS5.
This offer is part of Sony’s ‘Play at Home’ initiative, which was set up to encourage PlayStation owners to stay at home during the pandemic with the incentive of free games.
