Marvel Avengers is a game that had a mixed reaction a part of which was the glitches that while not game-breaking caused people to not want to stick around another reason for this is due to the higher expectations and some people called but quite a few of those glitches and bugs have been fixed even more so now with the 2.3.1 update

there were several issues that were fixed in marvels avengers multiplayer and matchmaking the most annoying of which was a black screen when accepting a multiplayer invitation

there was an issue that prevented objectives from populating in “This Hostile Earth” Threat Sector that has now been fixed

Fixed an issue in “City Under Siege” mission that granted players different rewards than what is depicted in the mission details there is the same issue in “Menace at Large”, “and we’re back” and “above and beyond” both of which have been fixed so you can now get the rewards you are supposed to do alongside that the update Corrected the Elite Vault mission chain to exclusively reward Technical Power Set gear.

Fixed the issue causing all variants of Elite Vaults and Villain Sectors to be available to players as opposed to one Elite Vault per day and one Elite Villain Sector per week the update also fixed the issue preventing “Ritual Content” and “Destination Content” videos from playing in all social spaces.

the update fixes an issue related to Kate Bishop’s HARM challenges alongside Hawkeye’s HARM challenges., another HARM Challenge that prevented from populating on the Wartable for under-leveled players was also fixed

for the art and animation of the Marvels Avengers game, Hawkeye’s sword no longer sticks up from his feet in the character selection menu alongside Fixing a camera issue causing the camera to lock in the Wasteland Vault elevator as well as fixing Kate’s hair in her Supernatural Avengers Outfit to display the correct hair color.

marvels avengers have also had some issues with the combat of the game  with perks not working as well as they should some of which were some these ones being fixed in this update of Ms. Marvel’s Signature attack perks not applying any status effectsKate’s Quantum Effector Perk to not trigger with some Cryo and Vibranium perks and lastly Thor’s Rampant Lethal Extension Perk not working with any of his warrior’s fury skills should now be fixed so you can make him even more powerful

the issue is fixe with thor in his sonic statue gear, if you have it equipped you do not wear you do not do any damage the update also fixed the issue where your game black screens after you try to redo the avengers initiative after completing the final campaign mission has now been fixed so you can play avengers initiative as much as you want after completing the campaign

Marvel Avengers forthcoming Spider-Man DLC will unfortunately not include any story missions, it has now been revealed. Previously, we have seen the likes of Black Panther, Kate Bishop and Hawkeye receive their own levels to fight, but it looks like that won’t be the case with our favourite wall-crawler.

Many fans assumed that Spider-Man would receive the same treatment as any other DLC, because that’s what we were essentially told. This is what the games senior producer, Dan Matlack, said during an announcement on the game’s Discord in September.

“Spider-Man is what we call an ‘event’ so he will have cut scenes and a story for sure”.

Unsurprisingly, some took that to mean that would be accompanied with story missions. However, Avengers gameplay director Phillippe Therien has confirmed that is not the case.

Instead of a short campaign with new missions, the web-slingers story will be displayed through audio logs and illustrated cut scenes. These will be unlocked by completing new Avengers multiplayer challenges. Check out this game play clip below which explains the DLC in further detail:

Spider-Man Hoping To Save Avengers Game

The delayed and PlayStation-exclusive superhero will finally arrive on PS4 and PS5 come November 30. Can he be the superhero to save the Avengers from their miserable fate?

Spidey won’t be arriving alone when we finally get to play as him either. Accompanied by a new Hero Event called With Great Power, he will team up with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow to try stop an AIM plan. Despite working in a team, he will apparently be debating whether he prefers working alone or not.

Despite the fact the Spider-Man content is a PlayStation exclusive, it has been revealed the game’s 2.2 patch will include content available on all formats. As a result, we will be presented with a Klaw Raid which takes place after the events of the War for Wakanda expansion.

“We want to spend our efforts on content that everyone can enjoy, so we chose to spend a lot of our energy on the Klaw raid that’s coming up at the same time,” Crystal Dynamics’ Therien said.

“Really that’s a simple decision for us. Spider-Man can play all the content, but then we release a piece of content that’s good on all platforms. Really that was a decision that’s been that way since the beginning,” he claimed.

Hopefully, the introduction of Spider-man will help the game escape recent controversy. It’s lifespan so far has been extremely lacklustre, resulting in poor critic responses and fan trolling. They’ve hardly helped themselves, especially with the addition of paid XP boosters, which they were forced to subsequently remove.

It comes at a difficult time for the games developers, who admitted that  Crystal Dynamics was potentially a bad fit for Marvel’s Avengers given its lack of experience with the games as a service model. We just hope they can deliver a somewhat satisfying Spider-Man experience. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just an enjoyable wall-crawling adventure.

Unfortunately, it has been well-known for sometime now that Marvel Avengers has not been doing too well. It’s lifespan so far has been extremely lacklustre, resulting in poor critic responses and fan trolling. They’ve hardly helped themselves, especially with the addition of paid XP boosters, which they were forced to subsequently remove.

In the words of Bonnie Tyler, developers Square Enix have certainly been ‘holding out for a hero’. What better hero to be waiting for than the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man? If anyone can save the Avengers right now, it surely has to be our favourite wall-crawling hero. As Spider-Man has had so many video game iterations, players will always be interested in what sort of rendition we’ll get this time. Featuring in over 15 games, we hope this version is going to be a worthy addition to the collection.

One major question that players have been wondering is how old is this Peter Parker? The reason this is asked so much is because Marvel Avengers have introduced various characters in different stages of their superhero careers. For example, Kamala Khan is only just starting out in the world of the crime-fighting.

Previously, we’ve played as both rookie and mature Spidey before. Traditionally, he’s been seen as a college student, which is what the first image of Spider-Man in the game shows. It has now been revealed by one developer on a Reddit thread that he is indeed around college age. What a shock.

Additionally, the same developer went on to clarify that Spider-Man has in fact been a hero longer than Kamala Khan, but is not as experienced as the Avengers. His story supposedly begun after the events of A-Day, which is why he could further relate with Ms Marvel. It seems that Spider-Man is slowly developing into his peak but it remains to be seen whether he can single-handedly save the Avengers game. We can always hope.

As mentioned above, Spidey has had success in his past when it comes to video games. As a result, we thought it best to compel a list ranking the top five games the web-slinger has featured in. Hopefully, this new version of the character will bring the success these previous games have seen. So let’s dive right into it!

5. Spider-Man (2000)

Spider-Man’s first outing in the realm of 3D gaming was an overwhelming success. Activision were the ones responsible for this title, and perfectly captured the wit, charm and aesthetic which makes Spider-Man universally loved. Swinging and leaping from building to building was revolutionary at the time, as was the combat system which we hadn’t seen in any Spider-Man feature to this point.

Not only this, but the character roster was just absolutely brilliant. Appearances from Venom, Mysterio, Carnage and Scorpion really made you feel like you were thrown right into a comic book. Add on top of that some classic Stan Lee narration, and what more could you possibly want? This isn’t just an iconic Spider-Man game, but also one of the best games to come out of the original PlayStation.

4. Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows (2008)

Taking a darker rendition of the beloved superhero, Web of Shadows was a great example of original story-telling in Spider-Man games. We see Spidey deal with some inner demons caused by the appearance of the symbiotic suit, which gives players a great choice system helping to replicate the convoluted mindset of this particular Spider-Man. Along our journey, we take on the likes of Kingpin, Venom and The Tinkerer and fight alongside other iconic marvel superheroes such as Luke Cage and Wolverine.

In terms of game play, we had previously never seen such a brutal combat system in a Spider-Man game before. It was fast, fluid and had incredible animations to match. When you used the black suit, you felt a significant difference in power, meaning you never wanted to take it off. Overall, this is a highly underrated Spider-Man outing and definitely deserves its spot in this ranking.

3. Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Tobey Maguires second Spider-Man movie is arguably still the best Spider-Man movie to date. Until a few years ago, the same would have been said about it’s movie tie-in video game. Despite most movie tie-ins being monumental flops, this one changed the game when it came to game play. The engaging in-game traversal had never been better, with webs actually attaching to buildings. For the first time, you could feel the impact and momentum when travelling across New York and it was everything we had hoped for.

Furthermore, the game really developed the original narrative in a sincerely meaningful way. We see more of Peter’s struggles as a student as well as a variety of villains that weren’t explored in the feature film. This was the gold standard for how every Spider-Man should’ve been, and nothing quite matched it. That is until the next two games came along…

2. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020)

Whilst this game doesn’t let us take control of the traditional Peter Parker, Miles Morales does just as good a job as his experienced mentor. His first solo outing in a video game is filled with wonderful set pieces, excellent combat and an experience which any Spidey fan just can’t miss out on. Insomniac Games added new mechanics and a unique swinging style which makes him feel completely different from any other Spider-Man before him. Whilst the campaign is rather short, the overall experience is undeniably enjoyable which makes so high up on this list. Don’t be afraid to pick up a copy here and see for yourself! And now for the number one spot…

1. Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018)

Was there really any doubt? Insomniacs first outing with Spider-Man created the definitive wall-crawling experience. Not much as really needs to be said. The game has an unbelievably emotional story, a thrilling combat system and web-swinging which we hadn’t seen since Spider-Man 2 and that, ladies and gentlemen, is all we can really ask for in a Spider-Man game. We cannot wait for the sequel to come out, and we’re sure you can’t either.

So there we have it! That’s my personal list of every Spider-Man game so far. I just hope that the Spidey we see in Marvel’s Avengers can replicate any of these iterations. Marvel Avengers players will no longer be able to purchase boosts with real money. In today’s announcement, the games official Twitter account said that the Hero’s Catalusts and Fragment Extractors will only be earn-able through in-game purchases.

Developers Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix first announced the option to purchase the boots with real money back in October.

This left players feeling upset and betrayed. They viewed the upcoming DLC as a pay-to-win style event which obviously takes away from the competitiveness of gaming. Especially considering it increased the amount of currency and experience earned.

Fortunately, it seems as if the outcry from fans has paid off. The boosts will no longer be available for purchase today. Great news.

Crystal Dynamics sent out an apology which addresses the concerns. They believed that they saw the consumables as an ‘option for an evolving player base’ and they weren’t pay-to-win as ‘they don’t offer power directly’. Nevertheless, they realised the fans were displeased with the decision and hope their retirbution ‘can be the first step in rebuilding fans confidence’.

Not First Time Marvel Avengers Receives Backlash

Marvel Avengers has been corrupted with controversy ever since its initial release. Here’s a list of some backlashes the game has received thus far:

• Avengers Opening Day Character Models
•  Multiple Early Access Windows
• Avengers Sony and Marvel Exclusivity
• Exclusives from outside the Games Sphere

If you would like to see the reasoning behind these explained in further detail, here’s a link explaining them all. Overall, fans weren’t impressed and neither should they have been. As a result of the lacklustre game-play, fans even made hilarious memes mocking the game.

Despite this, the game does seem to be making a resurgence due to its presence on the Xbox Game Pass. However, they still have a long way to go to make sure fans are fully back on side. For a game featuring Earths Mightiest heroes, it really needs to become just that bit mightier.

Adversely, Insomniac have seemed to have gotten the amazing part of Spider-man bang on! Make sure to pick up a copy of one of the best superhero games ever right here! Hopefully Square Enix take some inspiration from it.

The post Marvel Avengers No Longer Selling XP Boosts first appeared on Get2Gaming.

Over the last 30 days Square Enix’s “Avengers” game, which at one point looked like a promising game, has struggled to break over 800 concurrent players on steam. Even with the boost of new players from the game coming to XBox game pass, “Avengers” has been doing worse and worse as the months go on.

And it just gets worse. Shortly after the game came to XBox Game Pass, Square updated “Avengers” to sell XP boosters, in a stark betrayal of a promise made in june of 2019, that the game would “Wont have won’t have random loot boxes or pay to win scenarios”

The XP boosters price varies, costing between 100 Credits to 500 Credits, or roughly $5 in real money. This also comes after a massive nerf to XP rates back in March, under the guise that the XP rate was “Too confusing” for new players.

Some players also worry that this marks a shift in direction, and that the free consumables offered currently will eventually be phased out, in favour of the game going for a full Free-to-play style.

While there is some debate as to if this change does constitute “Pay to Win”, given the game does not have any PVP, it is undeniable that the reception has been overwhelmingly negative. One reddit user, FantasticMeddler, wrote “SE and CD decided a long time ago that new players were their priority and those of us that pre ordered were paid beta testers. They could give a fuck for any existing players except the whales.”

Another, Motor_Structure7156 wrote in a separate post “They blatantly and repeatedly stated there would be no Loot Boxes or Pay-to-win mechanics. Labeling it `Pay-to-progress-a-bit-faster` is more accurate perhaps but it does not negate the lie that they told. If I am ignorant or disingenuous for calling a spade a spade and not a `human-tool digging interface appliance` then so be it.

As the game struggles to find a footing amid numerous other controversies, this will definitely not help “Avengers” in the long term. The game has struggled to hit a chord with any player base and came out into a market saturated with heavy hitters like “Destiny 2”, “Warframe” and “Borderlands”, so even this potentially drop-in-the-ocean controversy will be a big problem for the game going forward.

It finally looks like the Avengers are starting to assemble in the gaming world, with Marvel Avengers arrival on Xbox Game Pass turning the games fortunes right around.

Upon its 2020 release, the Avengers team were greeted with a luke-warm reception. Fans were left disappointed with ‘convulated and uninspired menus with major bug issues’.

Broken matchmaking, reused environments and unimaginative enemies looked to make Crystal Dynamics action role-playing brawler doomed to stay in the unfortunate game category of ‘what could’ve been’. Even the release of post-launch content such as the War for Wakanda DLC didn’t look like it was going to pull the game out from the ashes.

That is until now, as it seems the developers decision to put the game on the Xbox Game pass is  paying off. Tony Stark and co have risen into the top 15 most played games on Xbox overall in the US since its arrival on the Game Pass. An impressive feat for a product which looked devoid of ideas.

However, this recent success should come as no surprise. The Xbox Game Pass has a track-record of helping to improve player numbers which means it should be no different for Stan Lees superheroes.

The big question now is whether Crystal Dynamic are able to transfer this new-found popularity into a long-term plan for the games future.

As previously mentioned, players were not overly impressed with what they were offered at first. Upon launch, Kataku reviewer Mike Fahey specifically criticised the games repetitive features and lack of content. He wasn’t alone.

“We need new content. New enemies. New game mechanics…The initial excitement over playing beloved superheroes has dulled, thanks to a lack of variety in late-game content”.

For a property of this magnitude, Marvel’s Avengers should’ve taken advantage of the Marvel hysteria infecting the globe right now. Instead, everything just felt a little too rushed. However, the signs that Crystal Dynamic can turn it around after this are starting to look promising.

The games above-mentioned War for Wakanda DLC and the upcoming Spider-man DLC look to add a lot more free content for players to divulge in- even if the latter is only available for Playstation users.

Crystal Dynamics also put out a recent and well-received next-gen update for the game on Xbox Series X.

Let’s just hope Crystal Dynamic will take  advantage of this recent success so all our Marvel gaming fantasies are properly fulfilled.
