Believe it! Naruto is finally confirmed to be coming to Fortnite!

After so many speculations, rumours, and leaks, the online battle royale game Fortnite has announced that a certain ninja is making his way to the latter half of Season 8.

Fortnite has already had plenty of crossovers this season with different mediums of pop culture such as Dune, Resident Evil, and more recently, a crossover with none other than League of Legends. Now anime is making its long-awaited debut.

The announcement that Naruto was finally coming to Fortnite was made on Twitter last night with an image containing the Fortnite and Naruto Shippuden logo floating in a specific cloud-dappled sky that is symbolic to Naruto fans as well as Naruto’s iconic catchphrase “Believe it!” as well as the date for when the crossover is happening- November 16.

This may come as a surprise to some fans that have been out of the loop, yet many would have seen the leaks found by the data miner HYPEX who found a few items in the next Fortnite update relating to the anime series including ID tags, a creative coin and a mystery weapon.

While this official confirmation is exciting for Naruto fans, it’s even more exciting for anime fans in general as this could mean more anime crossovers could be coming to the battle royale game. It was reported earlier in the year that Shueisha, owner of the Shonen Jump magazine, was working closely with Epic Games for anime crossovers, so we could be getting the likes of the Strawhat Pirates from One Piece, or maybe even Class UA from My Hero Academia, or maybe even some slayers from the hit anime, Demon Slayer.

There are so many rumours and leaks hinting Naruto is joining Fortnite that it’s gotta be true… right?

There have been so many different rumours and leaks over the past few months regarding whether Naruto would be joining the Fortnite world. Epic Games have yet to confirm anything, but new leaks are proving it to be more and more realistic.

The v18.30 update recently went live for Fortnite, and plenty of leakers and data miners got to work on unpacking all of the new game files and they managed to unpack a few Naruto discoveries.

HYPEX, a reliable data miner in the Fortnite community that also recently leaked the Dune collab, revealed new details regarding a potential Naruto collaboration.

The v18.30 game files revealed two new ID tags, a new creative coin, and an explosive Kunai mystery weapon that are safe to say, Naruto related. The two ID tags are ‘Headband K’ and ‘Headband S’ which can only be for Naruto’s sensei, Kakashi, and Naruto’s rival, Sasuke. The creative coins in question are a bowl of ramen, Naruto’s favourite type of food, and a ninja scroll.

Now the Naruto ID has 2 tags, HeadbandK & HeadbandS.. Could it be Kakashi & Sasuke? 👀

There are also reports that Naruto is set to become a boss on the map with his new Mythic Kunais, previewed down below. Yet whether players will be able to play as Naruto is still uncertain.

So far the evidence has been pretty telling on whether we can expect a Naruto x Fortnite collab or not. It has been hinted that the collab will go live after Chapter 2 Season 8, yet it still hasn’t been officially stated by Epic Games. It is recommended to still hold out on an official statement, no matter how damaging the current leaks are.

Naruto could soon become a Battle Pass exclusive skin.

It is a well-known fact that Epic Games do not shy away from big-name collaborations, as we have seen in the past. Well, new leaks suggest that a Naruto skin may be arriving in Fortnite, possibly as soon as Chapter 2: Season 8.

Originally, rumours started circulating of a possible Naruto Skin arriving in Fortnite after a document was released in the Epic Games v Apple court case.

The document in question shows various images of possible collaborations that may be planned for the future. As well as crossovers that have already happened.

Searching through the document and potential crossovers revealed that a possible Naruto skin was in the works for Fortnite. Although details of Naruto were sparse in the document, it still sent fans into a frenzy.

Now it seems that new leaks from a leaker over on Reddit suggest the collaboration is indeed happening, possibly as soon as Season 8. As detailed in a public post by the moderators of r/FortniteLeaks, their source has confirmed that Epic Games have acquired the rights to use the character Naruto in their massive Battle Royale title, Fortnite. The acquisition likely means Fortnite will soon receive a Naruto Skin.

The leak was then posted by popular Fortnite leaker, ShiinaBR, who said that “Epic Games is apparently now trying to include him in the next Battle Pass”.

So, with Chapter 2: Season 8 right around the corner, fans could be able to get their hands on Naruto sooner than you think. It’s also worth noting that this is the same source who suggested that Ariana Grande would receive her own concert inside of Fortnite. Which has, of course, come to fruition. Although it seems likely that the source is reliable, it’s always important to take this information with a grain of salt until it’s made official by the developers. Regardless, anime’s most iconic ninja could be soon arriving on the worlds biggest battle royale stage.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

Upcoming Naruto game is to target the PS4 and Xbox One

The long-running Naruto Ninja Storm series is to see it’s debut on the PS4 and Xbox One next year, which was announced by Bandai Namco,  with ‘Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’, after four instalments on the Xbox 360 and five on the PS3! The game is being developed by CyberConnect2.

The latest story arc in the Naruto Shippuden anime is that of which the upcoming game will be based on. It’ll feature one-on-one multiplayer modes for both offline and online players. CyberConnect2 have been working on the Naruto Ninja series since it first launched.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’s predecessor, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, introduced a new fighting system and showed the background story of select Akatsuki members. 

 Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be released in 2015. So you don’t really have that long to wait now, do you?!
