Launch Date for PUBG: New State on Mobile has Been Revealed!

Developer Krafton has announced that PUBG: New State, their newest mobile game, will be available for download on November 11, 2021.

The release date for the new title was disclosed as part of a media demonstration emphasising the new features coming to the PUBG Mobile sequel, which would provide iOS and Android mobile players with the “full, uncompromised battle royale gaming experience currently available in PUBG: Battlegrounds.”

Krafton and PUBG Studios claims that New State will be “one of the most realistic and technologically advanced mobile games to date,” as it places players in the future metropolis of Troi in the year 2051.

In the hour-long presentation, the game’s creators discussed how New State will set the bar for future battle royale games, starting with its graphical capabilities.

What’s New in PUBG: New State

New State will leverage cutting-edge rendering technologies, including global illumination, auto instancing, and auto-exposure, to bring its mobile gaming experience up to par with the PC version of PUBG. Thanks to these new graphics upgrades, the gunplay system has also been entirely overhauled and looks impressive.

New State’s stunning visuals will not be restricted to those with the most up-to-date mobile technology. During the presentation, Krafton said that the game has been optimised for most players, as seen by the game’s lenient system requirements: iOS 13 or later on at least an iPhone 6S, and Android OS 6 on any Android device with at least 2GB RAM.

In PUBG: New State, players will be able to enjoy new gameplay elements such as weapon customisation and a drone store, as well as a unique recruiting system that allows players to enlist adversaries to their squad, which I think is pretty cool actually.

Gun someone down, pick them up – you will fight for me now! It creates the opportunity for some fun and tense moments between players. I’m wondering if friendly fire will be enabled, meaning you can take petty pot shots for revenge when their back is turned. But no body would even think of doing that, right? Similarly to other PUBG titles, New State will be updated regularly with new content, gameplay tweaks and “a season-based service focused on gameplay balance and fun.”
