The Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event saw a number of announcements among the competitive gaming sections of the internet. The livestream coincided with Bandai Namco’s announcement of pre-orders being available for an Android 21 figurine, the antagonist who debuted in Dragon Ball FighterZ (psst! Which we happen to have).
In addition, S.H Figurearts have also announced an Android 21 figure recently, which will be sold widespread in October. I’m no Figurine Collector Expert Man (though I sincerely wish that was my code name in a Metal Gear Solid game), but hopefully this is good news for those of you who are.
PLOT TWIST ALERT! You thought this would end with related news about the figurine announcement, BUT IT WAS ME, deciding to tack on a mini roast to the rest of this paragraph! Turns out this was a stealth blog roast all along!
What, when, where, why and who am I roasting this fine morning… I won’t name and shame the actual blog author, but let’s just say ‘A Certain Forbes Blog Posted February 21st’! Easier to maintain my brand as a likable plucky underdog speaking strewth to power if I’m not punching down on fellow content writers trying to get by.
Needless to say: I found out about this upcoming Android 21 figure via Forbes article and it claimed the iconic baddie would be coming to FighterZ as a DLC character on February 24th… Now, if this was a video essay, this would be the part where I would break down the door and use clever editing to film a conversation between Myself and Myself Wearing a Fake Mustache and Monocle! Then I’d be like “aha! You haven’t played the game or even done a picosecond of googling because turns out Android 21 always has been a playable character this whole time! Checkmate! Parry this, you filthy casual”!
And that’s that! I found this little period of perceived fact-checking superiority quite the titillating experience while it lasted. Then I went back to my small-time Hashtag Quirky Bloggy Funtimes, Forbes went back to being a substantially more successful business and we all lived happily ever after!
