Hades has only been out for PlayStation and Xbox consoles for one week, yet it has already managed to become the highest-rated game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S to be released via the popular rating site Metacritic.
Yes, the indie dungeon crawler game from Supergiant Games that was voted Best Game of the Year by several gaming publications, continues to make impressive strides and has tempted us all with its pomegranate seeds to join the craze that is escaping the Underworld.
Hades Highest-Rated on Metacritic
The ratings for Hades on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S was first noticed by TwistedVoxel.
As it stands, the PS5 version has a Metacritic score of 93, putting it above the likes of Demon’s Souls, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, all with a score between 89-92.
Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X/S version has a Metacritic score of 94, 4 points higher than the likes of Microsoft Flight Simulator, and 5 higher than It Takes Two and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2.
In comparison, the Switch version also has a Metacritic score of 93, yet is tied in fourth place with Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition, Ori and the Will of the Wasps, Undertale, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
2021 continues to be just as impressive a year for the indie title as 2020 was.
