Call of Duty Holiday Events & Vanguard Free Trial Details!

‘Festive Fervor,’ a Christmas-themed Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone event, has been revealed by Activision.

Starting on December 17th, there will be “limited-time modes, events, rewards, and features up to the New Year, and plenty of discounts on classic bundles and new holiday-themed offerings.”

Krampus, as well as murderous elves, are heading to Vanguard and Warzone, as previously revealed. In Vanguard, Krampus will attack the player with the lowest objective score in a multiplayer match, but it’s up to you to track down Elf Team Six – if you can find them all, you’ll receive a special present.

Players will be tasked with completing Festive Fervor challenges to earn goodies during the main event. There will be 13 prizes up for grabs, including an epic LMG blueprint if all six Vanguard or Warzone Pacific challenges are completed.

Call of Duty Vanguard Free Multiplayer Weekend!

Another free multiplayer weekend will let new players experience these festive events, this time from Thursday, December 16th through Sunday, December 21st.

During this time, Armageddon mode will be implemented, though it will essentially be a rebranded Drop Zone. As a result, you’ll have to struggle for control of a certain area on the map where care packages will start to arrive.

The only difference between this version of Drop Zone and previous versions is that you only get points for killing people, with bonus points if you do so while using a Killstreak.
