Earlier this year, Dead cells (indie Metroidvania platformer where you play as a parasite blob on top of a corpse) Announced its biggest update yet, the “everyone is here” update, obviously ripping on the iconic phrase used to market super smash Bros Ultimate. The Update Features crossover characters from other popular Indie Metroidvanias, Such as Hollow Knight, Guacamelee and Blasphemer, with more being announced over the course of the year.
Dead cells launched back in august of 2018 and was developed by Motion Twin. it was an immediate success with genre fans and critics for its Slick combat and hard-but-fair mentality. The game won a few awards, including best action game at the 2018 game awards and has, as of march this year, sold over five million copies. When “everyone is here” was first announced fans where obviously excited, and now the wait is finally over, with many characters joining the dead cells roster.
