Epic Games, a successful development and publishing studio, and the Lego company have both partnered to build a new virtual reality world directed at kids.
some may know Epic Games as the developer of the shooter “fortnite”, and I’m sure many have grown up around the concept of lego – but last thursday the former team announced a new project for kids to play in the metaverse.
The two companies state they are to create an build an “immersive, creatively inspiring and engaging digital experience for kids of all ages to enjoy together,” and will give younger audiences “access to tools that will empower them to become confident creators and deliver amazing play opportunities in a safe and positive space.” They have also stated they will work together to ensure the privacy, wellbeing and safety of their online userbase.
