The stealth-orientated zombie game, Freak, has landed on Kickstarter
Breezing onto the crowd-funding platform Kickstarter, is Crowned Daemon Studios’ upcoming game, Freak. The game does have further stretch goals in case it does surpass it’s initial target, but the base amount at present is $51,000.
First and foremost, the game is based around zombies, so it is instantly in our good books. Players will be put in the role of an autistic 14 year old named Tinker, who has been bitten by a zombie, died, and come back from the dead. The aim of the game is to attempt to get to a civil part of the zombie-ridden society, wherein scientists can examine Tinker and find out the reason as to why he’s immune.
The game relies mainly, and heavily, on stealth mechanics. Players will have to sneak past zombie hordes but can, in fact, engage with them. This is optional of course.
From looking at the Steam Greenlight page, it appears that the cinematics for the game have been highly praised, so it’ll be interesting to see how others perceive the game once playing.
