The sport of Rowing consists of intense, strenuous and hard work required exercises, more so than a lot of other sports. In the attempt to allow others to enjoy the machine without having to take part in the strenuous hard working aspects of the sport. A new company called Aviron has recently created an erg with built-in games.
The rower company that is connected to the Machine company has recently raised 18.5 million dollars in funding. The company has announced that, not only does the machine have more built in games than Peloton, which just added some new games, it is now the first ever ‘at home’ rowing machine with apps within it such as Netflix and Disney+.
In addition to this, the games that Aviron has created, there are 14 true video games and hundreds of other gamified programs. A number of these involve fighting zombies, escaping from the Kraken, and blasting bugs, among other things. These games, however, do not solely focus on the physical aspects of the game. It appears that a lot of the games also have a high reliance on strategy and the players ability to think.
