Naughty Dog has released its first The Last Of Us Part II PS5 performance patch, which now allows the game to run at 60 fps.

To have access to the new upgrade you must download patch 1.08 and go to display settings where you can find the new framerates. This new feature allows players to choose between 30 fps and 60 fps, which should run smoothly on the PS5. Digital Foundry tested the new patch and found that The Last Of Us Part II used 60 fps for eight hours of gameplay.

Other PS4 games have received a similar patch upgrade for the PS5, including Days Gone, God of WarRatchet and Clank and Ghost of Tsushima. The performance patch for TLOU2 also features other enhancements for the PS5, such as faster loading times and enhanced resolution.

Naughty Dog’s official Twitter account reposted PlayStation’s reveal post of the new patch update.

Though there may be more PS5-centric updates in the pipeline, Naughty Dog said on the PlayStation Blog that this is ‘just the first step of working on the PS5’, suggesting more updates will come in future.
