With the release of the valve steam deck, developers of popular MMO FPS Destiny 2 Bungie have confirmed that the game is not currently supported on the hardware and people trying to circumvent this may be banned.
In a post on the bungie help website, the developer made it clear that “destiny 2 is not supported for play on the steam deck or on any system utilizing steam plays proton unless Windows is installed and Running.”

Further more “players who attempt to launch destiny 2 on the steam deck through SteamOS or proton will be unable to enter the game and will be returned to their game library after a short time”
It has also been confirmed that anyone trying to bypass approved systems for destiny 2 will be banned.
Destiny 2 is not the only high profile game not supported by the steam deck. Epic games Fortnite has also been confirmed to not be playable on the machine, although to be fair that was expected with Epic being valves biggest rival in the PC space.
