The event will run from November 16th to November 21st.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl launch for Nintendo Switch this month, and Pokemon Go is celebrating the arrival with a special event from November 16 to November 21.
Throughout the event, new costumed versions of Diamond and Pearl’s starter Pokemon will appear in the wild, and players will receive various in-game bonuses and more.
The Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl event is in two sections (one for each title), but some of the free bonuses will be available throughout the entire event.
Eggs placed in Incubators and Super Incubators will hatch at half and one-third of the distance usually required. There will also be an event-long Collection Challenge that will task you with catching the new costumed starters.
Along with these benefits, there will be new free and paid avatars. You can get the iconic Pearl and Diamond starters (Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup) as costumes will be available in the style shop, even after the event ends. There will be free trainer outfits based on the ones worn by the main characters in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. You’ll also be able to get new stickers from PokeStops, gifts and the item shop!
Brilliant Diamond
The first part of the event runs from November 16th to November 18th. Throughout this portion of the event, many Pokemon that are exclusive to Brilliant Diamond will appear in the wild more frequently. You’ll be able to encounter Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup wearing Lucas’s cute lil’ hat. Here is the list of spawns with increased rate:
