From this week Sony will start rolling out 1080p support for its new PlayStation Now cloud streaming service.

A tweet posted by Sony stated ‘The rollout will occur over the next several weeks across Europe, US, Canada and Japan, where PlayStation Now is available.’

PlayStation Now’s previous cap only allowed streaming games at 720p, which limited PlayStation Now from competing with other services such as Stadia, where players could stream their games at 1080p and 4K.

In the tweet Sony said that the feature is coming to ‘1080p capable games’, which is vague at the moment but we hope Sony will have more news to come.
