Lottie from Animal Crossing. A random character from a game I never played whomst I continue to know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT to this day!

So, why is it my Product Poems (more on that here) on Lottie resulted in a bunch of insane innuendos and nonsequitirs claiming this character is a violently horny man eater? Well, I’ll attempt to tell you in this blog before I share a highlights reel of my questionable-taste Lottie jokes!

Honestly? I have no idea why Lottie specifically, but I do have some theories: For starters, most of my product poems were in a haiku format. I wanted to spice things up with a different formula, so I landed on a “man from Nantucket”-inspired formula because I find it funny… It also happens that Nantucket poem is incredibly salacious and filthy in the best way possible (the version I heard, at least). My picking a Lottie Amiibo’s maiden honor to defile is just a happy coincidence and you’re just gonna have to trust me on that.

With that out the way, hope you enjoy this highlight reel of my best Lottie jokes folks!

There was once a young woman called Aloy, who’s south-end faced west like McCoys! Surely forbidden, so purely well-hidden, till coming under Lottie‘s employ.

“I’m Lottie, please take me… Wait, wha- NO! Not like that, pervert”!

There’s an AMIIBO from Tazmilly Village. With magic so strong, he could pillage! With a thrust and some thunder from somewhere down-under, he caught a glimpse of Lottie’s cleavage.

There was once an AMIIBO called Bowser, called Lucas to talk about flowers. With a hand-each from Lottie, Tom Nook’s favorite totty, they said “let’s give these buds a shower”.

There was once an AMIIBO named Lottie, who Villager found quite the totty. Had a WiFi connection and well-timed erection, but Last of Us 2 still won GOTY.

The post Lottie The Tottie – A Hilarious Animal Crossing Story first appeared on Get2Gaming.

The cozy vibes of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley mean a lot of overlap in the fandoms, which has coalesced in this amazing recreation of Pelican Town.

While the crossover between Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing: New Horizons has spawned a few smaller creations, such as Leah’s house, this is my first time seeing such a massive island recreation.

The indie title, made entirely by one ConcernedApe, has achieved massive success despite humble beginnings. Given the relaxed pace of both games, many fans of Animal Crossing like Stardew Valley, and vice versa. It may only have been a matter of time before someone made an entirely Stardew Valley themed island, but the level of detail seen here is astonishing.

Even the houses have been strategically placed with accurate colouring to replicate the ones seen in Pelican Town. The player character seems to be channeling Penny with their outfit, and starts the video sat on her iconic bench. Other player characters are familiar too: There’s Emily in the town square, Linus hanging about, Harvey, and Willy with his hut by the beach. They’ve also recreated the museum, with interesting items to represent the ones you might find in Stardew.

My favourite detail has to be the adorable mouse with his hat shop. I also love the creativity of using piggy banks for the animals in Marnie’s hut and in the farm. The layout is fantastically accurate to the game, and they’ve even used the warp pipes to teleport to Calico desert – just like how you would use the bus in Stardew.

I truly can’t get over the accuracy of this recreation – especially in the layout! It’s amazing that they have managed to fit the whole Stardew map on their island, and made everything relative to its location in Stardew.

Great job to Redditor acnh_kaylee for this amazing work! I want to visit this island so badly!

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player user has created a way to commemorate those who left the island

An aspect of how Animal Crossing: New Horizons has kept being relevant long after launch is all the ways the people have found to make their island all theirs.

Since the game was released in the spring of 2020, players have been finding all kinds of different ways to put their own spin on their own characters, their houses, and the island in general. Sometimes those players decided to go with a kind of tribute to their favorite show in New Horizons. Other times, they came up with clothing or uniforms that were an homage to their favorite characters. One particular user stayed away from paying tribute and decided to put their own definitive spin on their island.

Reddit user StormyandPerc posted her own personal creation on New Horizons, in which she managed to make a little tribute to everyone who has left the island since she started playing the game. They said that when a villager was getting ready to move away, they would first have them sign the big gray rock that appears on everyone’s island. The user showed off how all the signatures had their own look and that they all combined to look a bit like an Animal Crossing version of a yearbook.

The creativity and dedication of Animal Crossing Fans never ceases to amaze.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is, at its heart, a game of creation. Many dedicated fans set to the challenge of recreating favourite characters outfits (including me, I’ve made the iconic Free! Iwatobi uniforms, and the Survey Corps too) and memorable series locations.

One fan has recreated the iconic Community study room in Animal Crossing form.

The creator, Redditor b3llakat3, shared their work to r/AnimalCrossing. Simply titled ‘Study Room F’, the New Horizons Redditors recognised the inspiration immediately.

The study room was often the spring-point for each episode of the comedy series, where Troy, Abed, Jeff, Annie, Pierce, Britta, and Shirley would meet for a study session that usually ended in some comedic shambles. The room was pretty nondescript, reflective of a token study room in any college, making it easy to accurately recreate with regular wooden yellow tables, a handful of folding chairs, and a few couches. However, the attention to detail with the counters, bookshelves, carpeting and the shades on the doors and windows really makes this room feel like not just any study room, but Study Room F.

It’s a very faithful recreation of the Study Room, and several comments even say they thought they were in r/Community when they came across it. Others were responding with their favourite jokes from the show. Some even shared their own Community-inspired creations.

Community, which ran from 2009 to 2015, remains an iconic sitcom of the age – and is entirely bingeable on Netflix.

If anything is missing from the room, it’s the series characters themselves. With a bit of help from some friends, you can bring all your favourite characters to your island. Thanks to near-endless outfit customisation, you can bring almost any character to life in Animal Crossing.

With the end of 2021 fast approaching, Animal Crossing New Horizons release a set of items to celebrate the new year.

With 2021 wrapping up and the new chapter of 2022 unfolding, many games are launching new years’ events and items; and the beloved Animal Crossing is no different.

According to a tweet from the official ACNH Twitter, Isabelle states that new items based on New Year’s Day items will be available through to January 5, meaning upon publishing players have two days to grab the items they want for their island.

The game’s currently only four months from its second anniversary since launch back in 2020, and is still widely used to communicate with friends and family, near or far in a time of uncertainty with the ongoing pandemic.

Who doesn’t love a yearly wrap up? We all like to share our Spotify Wrapped on our Instagram stories, joking about our taste with friends, but what about video games?

Well, thanks to Nintendo Switch Year in Review, you can check out your playtimes for 2021.

Your review will show you the total number of games you played compared to last year and includes the number of new games you started, as well. Of course, like any good wrap up, it shows your top three most played games and the total hours played in 2021.

There’s more, though: you’ll also get a summary of your most-played genres, so you’ll be able to see if you’re an action-loving scoundrel or a cosy gamer. It’ll also tell you if you primarily played the Switch in docked or portable mode. Hopefully, you won’t regret not opting for the switch lite?

Lastly, the review will show which months you gamed the most in and recommend some titles based on your gaming history. It also gives you a reminder about what’s to come for Nintendo in 2022, hoping to hype you up for the following year.

Well, my Nintendo Review can’t be as embarrassing as my Spotify Wrapped was. My fourth most listened to artist was Dolly Parton, you know. Here you come again~ Looking better than a body has a right to~

2021 was an excellent year for Switch, with the continued success of Animal Crossing, the release of Switch OLED, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and a massive expansion to Nintendo’s online subscription service. There’s even more fun on the horizon, with Breath of the Wild 2, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and Splatoon 3 coming in 2022.

This One Addition Could’ve Changed Animal Crossing New Horizons Forever

We’re talking about the Nook Phone’s Camera, specifically the Handheld mode. Ever since Nintendo introduced handheld camera mode to Animal Crossing: New Horizons it’s been game-changing, and not just because we can take pictures of our favourite villagers.

It’s game-changing because this is the very first time we get to see the Animal Crossing world in first-person. We can view homes at a 360-degree angle, walk around and get photos of the atmosphere from a personal view. But what did Nintendo do wrong?

Nintendo’s Big Mistake With Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update

If you’ve played around with the camera handheld mode enough, you’ll notice that we can only enjoy the 360-degree view indoors. When the player is outdoors, they can not turn the camera 360-degrees and can only view the world from a parallel viewpoint.

This means the player has to constantly walk left or right to view every item and can only view the atmosphere from an on-front perspective.

It’s such a shame to see such a great feature go to waste, it would have been great for players to switch between third-person to first-person whenever they please, especially when visiting another island. If Nintendo allowed 360-degree angles outdoors this would have added a great deal of versatility to the game.

Handheld Camera In The Roost – Brewster’s Cafe

Unfortunately, in the Roost (Brewster’s Cafe) when in handheld camera mode, for some odd reason, only allows the player to look around 180 degrees. It feels very limiting in a place that’s supposed to be relaxing. If we invite a villager over, we want to be able to view them from the front and not an odd angle from the side all the time. Perhaps even view Brewster from the front of the bar as well, which for some odd reason, the player has no access to.

Let’s hope Nintendo add something in the future to allow this new feature to become a little more versatile.

5 Facts About Kapp’n From Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Kapp’n is a special Animal Crossing Character that’s held close to the hearts of people that’s played the older Animal Crossing Games. If you’re familiar with older games such as the original Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing: Wild World or Animal Crossing: City Folk, you may know some of these facts about Kapp’n already. If you started with Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you may be less familiar with some of these.

1. Kapp’n was once Lean & Mean

If you’ve been playing through the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update, you should have gotten used to some of Kapp’n’s dialogue. On your visit to a secret island, Kapp’n says he something along the lines of ‘You might not believe me, but back in the day I used to be lean and mean!’

Well, if you follow Japanese mythology, you wouldn’t doubt Kapp’n for a second. Kapp’n may look like a turtle but is also known as a ‘Kappa’ which is a Japanese swamp monster, one that can be found by rivers, streams or ponds. They often pray on women or young children.

Kappa’s are known to be very strong however if you look closely at Kapp’n’s head, you’ll notice a white circle. That circle is actually a bowl full of water. That’s right, the top of a Kappa’s head is a bowl of water, if Kapp’n falls over and the water empties from his head, Kapp’n will die.

That being said, if a human were to get attacked by a Kappa, they could try knocking one over, but Kappa’s are known to be a lot stronger than humans and that fighting one will result in more of a punishment than just death.

2. Kapp’n used to flirt with the Player

If you were a female player in Animal Crossing: City Folk, you would have received some…’funny’ dialogue from Kapp’n where he used to flirt with the player, saying that she’s pretty and mention that he’s available. We are unsure of whether Kapp’n was married at the time and looking for mischief or whether it was genuine.

A similar thing also happened in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, where Kapp’n would mention to female players, it would be subtle but it’s there.

However, it seems this has been removed completely from New Horizons, which is nice to know. Kapp’n will no longer make players feel uncomfortable or make it a running joke to flirt with females. While Kapp’n probably means no harm, it’s nice to know Nintendo took into consideration that a grown ‘man’ flirting with possibly underage players is very inappropriate.

3. Kapp’n Has Driven Boat, Car and Bus

Kapp’n knows how to drive other vehicles, he’s been seen briefly in Animal Crossing: Wild World at the beginning of the game, driving the player to their new town in a taxi. In Animal Crossing: City Folk Kapp’n is seen regularly when the player goes to the city and gets the bus to the city area for their shopping.

Fruit In Animal Crossing: New Horizons is Very Important

Animal Crossing: New Horizons fruit is important. Not just for aesthetic reasons or variety, but for crafting and giving gifts to villagers to get the rare villager photo.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a variety of fruits available, not as many as Animal Crossing New Leaf, unfortunately, but it’s nice to know Nintendo has added the same amount to resemble the older games, like Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk.

How to get All the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fruits

The player can obtain all the fruits by either going to another island with Nook Mile Tickets, visiting a friend’s island with other fruit, waiting for a villager to send one in the post or finding one in the Resident Services recycling box. Nook Mile Tickets can be obtained from the Nook Stop in resident services.

With fruits, you can easily craft many of the fruit DIYs such as a peach chair, a peach surprise box, pear wardrobe, apple dress or cherry speakers! Having a fruit-themed room or island can look very eventful. These items can not be bought in Nook’s Cranny and are exclusive to craft from the DIY.

Villager Friendship Points

Another reason to have all the Animal Crossing: New Horizon fruits are because collecting exactly 3 foreign fruits (one different from your local island fruit) and giving it wrapped to a villager will give you maximum friendship points from a gift for that day.

With a piece of clothing or furniture item, it’s not 100% guaranteed the player will get the maximum friendship points for that villager, this even goes for crafted items. It’s a lot less risky to give the villager a stack of foreign fruit, as this means you’ll be guaranteed success each time.

Once you’ve reached enough friendship points, you’ll be able to acquire a friendship photo from your favourite villager. These are extremely rare and do take a while to get, but once you get one, it’ll be a framed picture of them with a few unique words of wisdom on the back.

Island Aesthetic & Cooking

Lastly, having a nice variety of fruit allows players to cook more recipes, since the Animal Crossing New Horizons 2.0 Update, players have been able to unleash their creativity by cooking dishes and placing them around the island.  Not to mention, these dishes look amazing around the island!

Fun Fact: If you eat the fruit, your villager will gain a certain amount of strength to dig up whole trees or break rocks! Many have used fruit trees to make a mini-grove and some players even collect a certain amount of fruit for their travelling to help them collect materials. Fruit is very useful.

Real-Life Animal Crossing: New Horizons Cherry Speakers Made By Fan

Yes, They’re real!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has an amazing amount of new furniture from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0. update, however, one fan, in particular, is still showing appreciation for one of the original items. The Cherry Speakers.

As much as we miss the iconic watermelon furniture, the cherry fruit is one of the most popular amongst the Animal Crossing Fandom, so it’s only right they have cherry-themed items.

Reddit User ‘Oomoo_Amazing’ spent their time through blood, sweat and tears to recreate the cherry speakers, not only are these speakers aesthetically pleasing, but they sound good as well.

They are fully functional and as said by the creator ”Yes!! It plays the full animal crossing soundtrack from New Horizons! And thank you!!” That’s lead us to believe that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons soundtracks will be pre-set, of course, they could add other Animal Crossing soundtracks, purely for nostalgic reasons, but the cherry speaker is exclusive to New Horizons.

In Animal Crossing New Horizons, a typical in-game cherry speaker requires a DIY recipe to obtain it or a player can trade with another player to get it. However, after obtaining the DIY, the player needs 10 Cherries and two iron nuggets to craft it.

Why you need ALL the fruits in Animal Crossing New Horizons

It will be interesting to see the final result, the Reddit user has expressed that they will post their results once done! It’ll be a great device to sell, as many users have expressed their interest in purchasing the furniture and the creator has shown interest in selling the 3D printing files.

The creator mentioned they were worried about whether they can sell or not, that they may not be allowed. However, they might consider the fact many online sellers create merchandise that’s Animal Crossing themed. Hopefully, they make it available to the public.

To close off, the creator asked their audience if they have any suggestions on what to make next. “Any suggestions on my next project? I’ll be too bored after this is done! My husband is starting to get irritated with me filling up the house!”
