Dishonored 2 is coming out in 2016, and a few trailer stills have been revealed for the game. Here is a brief description of the game before we take a look at the stills…

Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the Lord Regent has been vanquished and the awful Rat Plague has passed into history. An otherworldly usurper has taken the throne from the Empress Emily Kaldwin, leaving the fate of the Isles hanging in the balance. As either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, you have got to travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca – a once-beautiful, coastal city, which contains the key to restoring Emily to power. Armed with the mark of the Outsider, and powerful new supernatural abilities, you must hunt down your enemies and forever alter the fate of the Empire.

Did you ever wonder who Nintendo merely skimmed over the NX during their E3 2015 presentation? Well it seems that the head of Nintendo, Iwata, has all the answers to that!

In a call yesterday, Iwata said “we can’t talk about the NX,”. “If we do, competitors may take our ideas and customers won’t be surprised.” He has also stated that support for the Wii U and 3DS would continue for the time being.

“This would not be beneficial for the company or its shareholders,” Iwata has added. “The NX is new hardware, and will start from 0. However, the 3DS and Wii U have install bases. Immediately cutting off software for previous hardware upon the release of a new machine is inefficient.”

“We will continue making 3DS and Wii software while preparing for the NX. We are prioritizing satisfying customers who purchased the Wii U.”

Although the current holder of Duke Nukem IP, Gearbox Software, made Interceptor put the game on hold and reintroduce it as Bombshell.

As we can see from the video below, the game’s Duke Nukem roots are pretty darn obvious, and you can see Duke standing next to a black Global Defense Forces truck, which was one of the images shown in the court document from Gearbox Software.

The game will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this year, and 3D Realms will be letting people play the game for the first time at QuakeCon in July, in Dallas, Texas.

Super Mario Maker – 100 pre-built levels

Super Mario Maker, for the Wii U, comes with a level editor which lets you download and play levels that have been created by members of the community. According to the game’s official UK website, if you don’t really fancy creating your own Mario levels, you can play from 100 pre-made courses!

Nintendo have really upped their game with this one, as only 32 levels were available on the NES for the original Super Mario Bros., and they’re currently on par with more recent games such as New Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Maker was shown at E3 2015 last week, and Nintendo had a variety of levels available to play, most of which were not created by professional level designers, but by artists, programmers and members of Nintendo’s Treehouse localization team.

Super Mario Maker will be made available for the Wii U on 11th September 2015, and we can’t wait!

Fallout 4 is “basically done” as Bethesda explains that 2015 release date

When Bethesda’s Pete Hines was asked, in an interview with gamesradar, why they felt they could release the game so close after it’s E3 2015 announcement, his reply was – “The simplest answer was that we felt like we could,”. “If we didn’t feel like that was enough time to generate the excitement that we expected and the interest that we wanted, then we would have announced it earlier. So part of it is because we felt like it was a big enough title that we could get away with it”.

To add to this, it wasn’t just the studio’s all round confidence in the demand for their game – “part of it is because it’s way more fun” Hines has said, “as opposed to: here’s a press release and here’s a trailer and, I don’t know, in a couple of months we’ll show you some stuff”.

So, are Bethesda well and truly ready to go with Fallout 4? – “Part of it is getting the game to the point where it’s all done enough to be able to show so much of it. We’re pretty close to being done, which you have to be if you’re going to ship in five months”. “It’s really fun to get this far into development and not say anything and then go ‘Boo! Here’s all this stuff. Here’s what we’re up to’. Which isn’t even all the full monty it’s just a big wide picture”.

Sony – “hasn’t decided” on release date for Project Morpheus yet

Sony’s head of worldwide studios, Shuhei Yoshida, has addressed the brief showing of Project Morpheus at Sony’s press conference at E3 2015, and has said that key details remain undecided. He was then asked on the GameSpot x Kinda Funny stream as to why the promotion of Sony’s VR headset was so brief, and his response was – “When we spend more than two minutes on anything other than core gamers games, [people] hate it.”

He nevertheless assured all that the project was “going very, very well.” He then went on to add – “The hardware is on schedule. Lots of games are being created. Some we are showing will hit the launch date that we haven’t decided as of yet. So it’s going really well.” Yoshida has also said, in terms of the RRP, that Sony are hoping to go “as low as possibly can be done.”

“We are not talking about any specific number, but this is a console business. We try to provide the hardware at the lowest possible cost so that more people can come in. And so that developers can make games on to create the market. So we’ll have the same approach.”

Sony has also announced that a consumer model of Project Morpheus will launch within the first half of 2016, but we are yet to learn of an actual release date.

Mobile tech and entertainment company, Snail Games, showcased an all-new Android-based console last week at E3 2015. This console is called The OBox (or “online box”).

The OBox, unlike other Android consoles, allows users to download games to the hardware and isn’t designed primarily for streaming. The console includes an “air mouse” which is built into the controller. Games can also be output in 4K resolution. Snail also designed the console in such a way so that it’ll be upgradeable. For example, if someone wants to swap out their processor down the line, they can drop in that piece instead of having to purchase a new unit.

Peter Kang, of Snail Games, has said that the company are trying to target more hardcore game-players with the OBox. He has also stated that he and the team are making a point of encouraging Android developers to tackle the bigger games and make them feel at home on a big screen rather, than a phone. Players will also be able to purchase games from other stores on the OBox, even though the console will have it’s own store.

Snail is very successful mobile business and, playing to it’s strengths, will release the OBox in China first. Kang also stated that they will not be keeping their games, such as Taichi Panda, exclusive to the console, but will continue to have it available on many other platforms.

A price has yet to be revealed for the console, but Snail hope to release it in China very soon, and then plan it’s release in the US for the earlier side of 2016.

The much anticipated Disney Infinity Star Wars figurines depict characters from both the original and the modern Star Wars Rebels. However, you will need to wait until January 2016 if you would like to purchase the figures alone, without the use of a PS3 or PS4. Boba Fett will also only be available on the PS4.

These models are most definitely a day-one purchase for avid Star Wars fans, as they follow very closely in the style of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the more recent, and aforementioned, Star Wars Rebels.

Disney just keep on surprising us!
