A new update for The Sims 4 adds scenario challenges, the first two involve finding love after a breakup and making money.
Scenarios is a new tab on The Sims 4 official site. Scenarios are new self-contained storylines where the player is presented with a goal and has to figure out their own way to accomplish it.
The story will vary depending on how the player achieves the scenario:
“There are many different outcomes to Scenarios and many different ways to achieve those outcomes,” the update says.
The update launched on November 2nd with two scenarios, Making Money and Finding Love After a Break-Up.
Here’s how you can access the new Scenarios:
Players that download the patch on November 2nd will have access to the brand new Scenarios feature. You’ll be able to access currently available Scenarios via the Main Menu following these easy steps:
- Click on the ‘New Scenario’ button on the Main Menu
- Choose the Scenario you’d like to try out
- Once you’ve selected your Scenario, choose whether you’d like to start a new save, or use an existing save. Please note: At this time, a Scenario can only be started in a new household. This will be updated eventually
- Once you’re in CAS, create your household making sure to complete any requirements
- Next up, choose your world and lot. Remember, if you’re playing ‘Making Money’ that your household funds will be set to 0 once beginning. So, you may be in for quite the challenge if you choose to start with a bulldozed or unfurnished lot.
- Enter live mode, and enjoy!
On the next day, another Scenario was added: Too Many Toddlers.
At the moment, you’ll have to start the scenarios with a new household, though in future updates you should be able to apply Scenarios to existing households. You can continue to play as the household you started for the scenario once it’s completed, though, so if you get attached to your new household you’ll be able to stick with them.
