Ubisoft have revealed that they will release a free-to-play game in its ongoing Tom Clany Division series. The game will be called The Division Heartland.
There has been limited information surrounding the details of the game, although it was announced that Red Storm Entertainment will be developing Heartland. The company is set to release the game on consoles, PC and the cloud between 2021 and 2022.
According to Ubisoft, the newest game in the series will allow newcomers to dive head first into the game, without having to play the previous two games. The first two games in the series, Tom Clancy’s The Division and The Division 2 were set in fictionalised versions of New York City and Washington DC, dealing with the viral pandemics. Ubisoft has claimed that Heartland ‘will provide an all new perspective on the universe in a new setting.’
Ubisoft has released signups for keen players to test the game when it is close to the release date. Heartland isn’t the only Division-related project that Red Storm Entertainment is working on though, as a Netflix movie called The Division 2 will be coming soon. Fans will also have the mobile game to look forward to, which will come ‘at a later date.’
