AC Ezio Collection Arriving On Nintendo Switch

Calling all Assassin’s! Have you been wanting to give yourself an excuse to travel back into the beautiful Italian Renaissance period? Fancy rubbing shoulders with the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci, Nicolo Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza? Well finally for Switch players this’ll become possible, as Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection will be available from February 17th. How exciting!

First announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016, the compilation bundles together Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelations. They’re the three games that make up the Ezio Auditore Saga and are certainly some the best games within the series. Additionally, the game also comes with two short films, Assassin’s Creed: Lineage and Embers. They’re ones that also definitely shouldn’t be missed.

Nintendo Switch Ezio Collection- Everything You Need To Know

Looks good, doesn’t it? I mean, how could it not, the three games are in my opinion some of the best of all time. Not only do you get the core games, but you also get every single piece of single-player downloadable content that came alongside the titles. Moreover, it has enhanced them with support for Switch-specific features such as HD Rumble. This’ll give you a unique Switch experience playing as Ezio, which we cannot wait to see.

Unfortunately, as was the case with the PS4 and Xbox One editions, the Switch version won’t include the multiplayer modes which were available in Brotherhood and Revelations. This was to be expected, but still may come as a disappointment for some fans. However, it does mean that hundred percenting the game is a whole lot easier when you don’t have to get those pesky online trophies or achievements. So every cloud, right?

From a technical standpoint, the Switch versions of AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations look about on par with their original Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 counterparts. Once again, this may come as a disappointment for some fans, but don’t be too gloom. The fact we’re finally be able to play Ezio’s adventures on the go should be something to be celebrated in itself!

It should be noted, that this isn’t the first time Ubisoft have delved into the AC Universe for the Switch. The French company also previously released Assassin’s Creed 3: Remastered and Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection which included Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
