Call of Duty: Vanguard fans are sharing frustrations about the MVP screen feature

Call of Duty: Vanguard has changed up the general standard of the Call of Duty formula in several ways, particularly with regard to the game’s Operators.

Some players appear to be pleased with how Call of Duty: Vanguard handles its lineup, other players have found major issues with the game’s new additions. A problem that several players have drawn attention to is the new MVP screen, which many find so irritating they want it removed entirely.

The MVP screen in Call of Duty: Vanguard is a new addition to the series designed to highlight Call of Duty: Vanguard‘s Operator customization. Unfortunately, it also requires players to wait an extra 40 seconds before they can vote and join another match. There is a small XP reward for voting on MVP, but many players have expressed frustrations with the waiting times.

Redditor BURLEYbeer kicked off the conversation by stating that the extra 40 seconds wore on their nerves because they have a limited amount of time that they can play Call of Duty: Vanguard. They requested an option to fast-forward or skip through the MVP screen. When other users pointed out that the MVP screen is clearly designed to show off cosmetics, and that many more outfit options are planned for the future, BURLEYbeer agreed that the mechanic was unlikely to be removed. However, other users noted that Call of Duty: Vanguard already has bugged skins that do not display properly on the MVP screen anyway.

The general consensus is that the MVP screen is a glorified ad, despite the vast majority of users expressing a desire to see it removed or made skippable. The comments appear to agree that Activision is unlikely to take out the function entirely, so fans have turned their attention to coming up with ways to make the MVP screen less irritating – or at least less time-consuming. Several users shared tricks to get through the MVP screen faster.

Many users who disliked pointed out that the MVP screen animations were repetitive and didn’t look terribly impressive. One user noted they would be less frustrated with the MVP screens if they featured outlines or borderline outlines like calling cards, while a second complained that they couldn’t report people during the animations. Although some consider Call of Duty: Vanguard one of 2021’s best shooters, it appears that some fans still have issues with certain aspects of the game.
