Get ready for some more Vaas madness…
Ubisoft has finally announced that the first of Far Cry 6’s roguelike premium expansions will arrive on Tuesday, November 16th.
The first expansion, named Vaas: Insanity, sees the actor Michael Mando return to play the iconic villain role who wowed us years ago. Upon release, the DLC can be purchased as part of the game’s Season Pass (trailer below).
The DLC will be essentially a roguelike experience; by this, it revolves around a “dies and retries” layout instead of the open-world format of the story mode. The studio informed us, “players will need to find new weapons and unlock power-ups to become stronger and progress deeper into the depths of Vaas’ psyche.”
Ubisoft says that fans will get a “unique opportunity to better understand Vaas’ past, personal demons, and motivations” through a blend of “intense action and storytelling.”
While Vaas: Insanity is due out on November 16, it will act as the first of three episodic adventures – with each focusing on a different Far Cry villain. The two remaining adventures will centre around Far Cry 4’s Pagan Min and Far Cry 5’s Joseph Seed when they launch in January and March 2022, respectively.
In other news, October and November have seen some big next-gen titles being released, including the likes of Call of Duty: Vanguard, FIFA 22, Far Cry 6, and Left 4 Dead’s spiritual successor, Back 4 Blood. You can purchase all of these titles, as well as pre-ordering both Elden Ring and Battlefield 2042 from our Go2Games website.
