Go2Games managed to raise an impressive amount of money during our last Gameathon, so much so we achieved an impressive title…
Here at Go2Games, we pride ourselves in working to help out our community. We have already helped so many during the pandemic thanks to our #keepcroydonconnected initiative, as well as our constant work with Palace For Life Foundation and Croydon’s Legacy Youth Zone.
In particular, Go2Games recently completed another fundraising campaign via JustGiving, in the form of a Gameathon with our streamers, to raise money for Legacy Youth Zone and we received phenomenal results.
Go2Games’ Gameathon
If you are unaware, Legacy Youth Zone is a youth centre that provides a safe, inclusive, exciting place for all young people, regardless of their background, ability, or household income; and has an extensive range of facilities allowing young people to participate in a range of positive, inspiring and constructive activities.
Go2Games have been taking part in gameathons for the charity for some time now and we manage to outdo ourselves each time.
The Legacy Youth Zone Gameathon took place on August 7 and lasted 12 hours, where our streamers Joshua, Andre and Andrew streamed games on our Twitch channel for our viewers to watch.
Our target for the Gameathon was £800 and we managed to exceed that by 27% by raising a grand total of £1,020.
Not only that, but JustGiving informed us that our Gameathon page was one of the most successful JustGiving pages last month, and out of the thousands of fundraisers that were available, we were part of the top 15%.
The page is still open so if you missed your chance to donate, click here!
A huge congratulations to our streamers Joshua, Andre and Andrew, and a big thank you to everyone that helped us reach that achievement. We appreciate all your support and hope we can do even better the next time!
