New Samus Amiibo Figure Being Released PLUS The Return of Nintendo Entertainment System Switch Controllers
Nintendo finally has a new Samus Amiibo figure, many Metroid fans have been waiting for this and finally one has come to fruition. The Amiibo features her legendary suit from Metroid Dead and there will also be an E.M.M.I Amiibo figure that will launch at the same time, this will be a double pack, meaning the two figures can be purchased together and will be available to ship off from the 8th of October and available for Pre-order at £25.99.
How Will The Amiibos Function In The Game?
After all, you don’t want to be purchasing Amiibo’s with a functionality that’s useless to you. So how does it work in relation to Metroid Dread? The Samus Amiibo will allow the players to receive an extra energy tank to increase their health by 100, they can tap it once a day to receive this special boost. While 100 is a good boost in health and can certainly become useful in certain gameplay situations, I’m sure many players would have opted to receive a little more or at least be able to receive it more than once a day, at least have the maximum up to 3 times. Nonetheless, it’s still a great addition to the game.
The E.M.M.I. Amiibo allows the player to receive an extra missile tank and increase Samus’s missile capacity by 10. I must say, that’s very useful, while 10 can be rather small, if you strategise well, this can make it worth the while and the gameplay a lot smoother in certain situations, it’s very beneficial and offers a great extra supply of weapons. Again, this can only be accessed once a day, which again can be a letdown for some players, but that makes the gameplay all the more challenging and immersive.
