RuneScape will be coming to mobile devices this summer, despite the classic MMORPG having early access on iOS and Android for a while now. Following the release on mobile devices, everyone will have access to the game.
RuneScape will stay free-to-play, with subscribers paying for extras such as skills, quests and more perks. The Publisher Jagex revealed that the game had more than 2.1 million installs on mobile devices during early access, as well as hitting a record-high number of subscribers last year.

Existing RuneScape players will be able to get their hands on a cross-play and cross-progression support via the PC version. Players will also have access to all quests, characters and equipment that they have already acquired.

Jagex has also revamped RuneScape’s UI for mobile devices, giving it a visual and operational upgrade. They also redesigned the menus, icons, text and textures.

RuneScape is now available to pre-order on iOS and pre-register on Android. Jagex have announced if enough people pre-order the game they will unlock some exclusive items.
