Gear up for what is expected to be one heck of a crossover…

Capcom has reminded its fans that a certain hedgehog is coming to town in one of its many IPs.

Earlier this year it was announced Monster Hunter Rise would be teaming up with Sonic the Hedgehog for a crossover to drop in November. Here’s what we know so far.

Monster Hunter Rise x Sonic

This is not the first time Sonic has ventured into the Monster Hunter world. Sonic made his debut in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate where players were able to craft Sonic-themed gear and outfits for their Palico, along with other characters like the Super Mario Brothers in the April DLC.

Yet this is the first time Monster Hunter Rise is featuring a collaboration from a non-Capcom IP address since Sonic is owned by SEGA. So far this year, Monster Hunter Rise has seen collaborations with Street Fighter, Okami, Mega Man and Ghosts ‘n Goblins. 

There’s still very little that has been revealed since September’s announcement regarding what we can expect from the Monster Hunter Rise and Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration, but so far, Sonic has had a great year celebrating its 30th anniversary. It has already received a Minecraft birthday treat, its own LEGO set, and confirmation of a Netflix 24 episode animated show titled Sonic Prime. 

However, Capcom made sure fans didn’t forget what is going to drop sometime in the next 30 days, with their tweet on the Japanese Twitter account for Monster Hunter Rise.

There are so many rumours and leaks hinting Naruto is joining Fortnite that it’s gotta be true… right?

There have been so many different rumours and leaks over the past few months regarding whether Naruto would be joining the Fortnite world. Epic Games have yet to confirm anything, but new leaks are proving it to be more and more realistic.

The v18.30 update recently went live for Fortnite, and plenty of leakers and data miners got to work on unpacking all of the new game files and they managed to unpack a few Naruto discoveries.

Naruto x Fortnite

HYPEX, a reliable data miner in the Fortnite community that also recently leaked the Dune collab, revealed new details regarding a potential Naruto collaboration.

The v18.30 game files revealed two new ID tags, a new creative coin, and an explosive Kunai mystery weapon that are safe to say, Naruto related. The two ID tags are ‘Headband K’ and ‘Headband S’ which can only be for Naruto’s sensei, Kakashi, and Naruto’s rival, Sasuke. The creative coins in question are a bowl of ramen, Naruto’s favourite type of food, and a ninja scroll.

Now the Naruto ID has 2 tags, HeadbandK & HeadbandS.. Could it be Kakashi & Sasuke? 👀

There are also reports that Naruto is set to become a boss on the map with his new Mythic Kunais, previewed down below. Yet whether players will be able to play as Naruto is still uncertain.

So far the evidence has been pretty telling on whether we can expect a Naruto x Fortnite collab or not. It has been hinted that the collab will go live after Chapter 2 Season 8, yet it still hasn’t been officially stated by Epic Games. It is recommended to still hold out on an official statement, no matter how damaging the current leaks are.

Xbox is gearing up for its big release later this year and has already started the marketing game off strong with these offers…

Now we are getting closer to the release date for the highly-anticipated Halo Infinite, Xbox is really stepping up its game in terms of marketing strategies.

It was announced back in September that Xbox would be collaborating with Rockstar Energy Drinks for the upcoming release of Halo Infinite and the collaboration is now available for fans to buy- yet there’s so much more. Fans that can get a hold of one of these cans have the chance to enter prizes for in-game and real-life rewards.

The Director of Xbox Global Partnerships unveiled the exclusive collector’s edition cans of the energy drink yesterday via Xbox Wire. The cans feature fan-favourite Rockstar Energy Drink flavours: Original, Sugar-Free, Fruit Punch, Silver Ice, and, Blackberry Goji and are available now until December 8th, when Halo Infinite is released.

Sadly, these will only be available to the US and Canada, with the Blackberry Goji flavour being only available for a limited time in the US from December 1st. Yet the UK still had something to do with these special edition cans.

The cans were all designed by artists and fans living in the US and UK and each design can be viewed on the official website with a little backstory behind each individual artist. Matt Taylor, from Brighton, and Dan Mumford, from London, designed the Orignal and Fruit Punch cans respectively.

Not only do you get an exclusive can design, but fans will be able to redeem codes for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode and unlock a variety of in-game rewards such as double XP, special in-game player emblems, challenge swaps, and speciality skins for power weapons and vehicles. Real-life rewards are also up for grabs and this includes fans being able to enter a sweepstake to be able to win a prize bundle that includes; an Xbox Series X console, a digital copy of Halo Infinite, a Razer Raptor 27” monitor, and Razer Kaira Pro Halo Infinite Headset.

There is also an even bigger prize. One lucky fan in the US will be able to win the Grand Prize for a custom-designed Jeep Gladiator SUV!

Halo Infinite is out on December 8 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

New photos of the Animal Crossing x PUMA collaboration have dropped with mixed reviews from fans

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has already received a Monopoly board game and a Build-A-Bear collaboration under its belt, and now it’s about to get a sportswear collection too.

Nintendo and PUMA have teamed up to bring Animal Crossing fans an official sportswear collection, with the first photos of the lineup having now been released and it’s already got fans excited for what else is to come, yer has others sitting on the fence for political reasons.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons x PUMA

The New Horizons x PUMA collaboration will be available to both children and adults so nobody will be missing out on getting their hands on this collection. There will be 3 trainer designs available; Wild Rider, Suede, and Future Rider, and SneakerFreaker gave us the first look at the Wild Rider design.

The light green and blue colours used in the Wild Rider design evoke that of the Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch special edition fans could purchase when the game was released. There is no price attached to these designs yet, but previous collaborations with Super Mario have had a range between £30-£80 ($40-$110), so it could be within the same price bracket.

SneakerFreaker also showed pictures of a hoodie that will be included in the collection, that features a number of villagers on the design. Again, no price has been announced yet.

However, there are some fans that aren’t happy about this collaboration and have been reminding others to boycott the sports brand. This is due to the international laws and human rights PUMA violates by being an official sponsor of the Israel Football Association, which includes teams in Israel’s illegal settlements that are on occupied Palestinian lands. More than 200 Palestinian clubs have asked PUMA to stop the sponsorship deal, but nothing has been done so far.
